I loved Ginny from the first book onward. She was always my favorite and I shipped her a lot with Draco (weird, right?). Anyway, the fandom hates her, apparently.

I adored Navi! I'd have been in deep shit on more than one occasion without her. And I always thought her voice was cute.

I love Light Yagami too, though I don't think fandom hates him overall? Especially considering he's a member of probably one of the most popular anime slash pairings of all time.

Navi though, I agree with! Well I thought she was annoying when I first played the game, but then I played Majora's Mask and found Tatl absolutely insufferable, which made me nostalgic for Navi.

Mai was hated?! What? I got into that fandom years after the fact and I only went looking for Zuko/Mai stuff so I guess I just missed it.

I really, really liked Shane from The Walking Dead. Far more than I've ever liked Rick.

Hey, Shane had a lot of things right.

Rick's done a LOT worse now than Shane EVER did. Shane just realized much earlier than the others what it was going to take to survive in this world. :/

I didn't like Shane's character as a person, I kind of loathed him, but on the other hand, I really liked the actor because I thought he did a fabulous job with the role.

I've actually enjoyed, for a change, being in a fandom where there is no universally hated character. Turin gets a lot of hate, and I do like him because I find him interesting. He's a classic tragic figure, which I love.

I agree on Ginny. I didn't like the canon H/G romance, but I always loved her. I actually wish she'd been given more to do in the last book.

Martha gets a lot of hate from the Doctor Who fandom, which I don't get. I actually can't think of a Who character I don't like.

Sirius gets a lot of hate from the fandom (mostly from the Snape fans). James gets some too, though not as much. I love them both.

Dany gets a lot of hate from the ASOIAF fans, and she's still my favorite. I also like Cersei. She's a horrible person, but she's interesting.

Odin gets a lot of hate from the Loki fans. I love him. He's interesting. He's not a perfect father or a perfect leader, but he is a good one. He became more complex in the second Thor movie, but his decisions were understandable even though wrong.

Korra from TLOK. Maybe she isn't a universally hated character, but she still garnered a lot of fandom hate for being 'annoying', 'immature', 'having no character growth', etc.
I loved the hell out of her from the beginning and never had any problems with her character.

Yeah, I thought Korra was great and that most of her negative qualities were handled pretty well and made sense given her background (being that she was raised in an isolated compound for most of her life being trained as the Avatar and openly admitted that, at 18 years old, the only friends she ever made were a polar bear dog and the elderly wife of her previous incarnation).

Wait, how could Korra be accused of having no character growth? Like her or not, that's like... factually incorrect. Compare her season 4 self to her season 1 self, there's a world of difference.

Some of the arguments against Ginny make me laugh because they sort of apply to me. I went from being the shy awkward little sister to being closer friends with my older brother's friends than he is and with them being very impressed by some of my skills. I don't know how it happened. I had always been hanging around in the background and then suddenly one year in high school I was part of their group. I relate to both her and Hermione a lot.

Hermione is the one for me. It is stupid, but when she gets hate it almost feels personal because I am a slightly lazier more procrastinating version of Hermione. I was exactly like she was in school. We have the same passions. And I had no friends. I always wished I found my Harry and Ron.

The arguments against Ginny are for the most part stupid. She was a bit annoying in book 6, but everyone was annoying in book 6. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were all just as unlikeable in that book. Most of the time she's awesome. I loved her character arc, and I wish we'd gotten more of her being badass in book 7.

Howard Stark in the MCU

I LOVE him. And fandom treats him like shit because...he sent Tony to boarding school...I guess?

I think that with a lack of background they are using Howard Stark's comics background and admittedly he was pretty shitty to Tony in the comics

The minions.

Well, okay, I mainly love watching everyone seethe with rage over them.

I didn't really care for the minions in the films but, admittedly, I thought their rendition of the boy band song (well, the country song that became a boy band song when it was covered by All-4-One) "I Swear" at the end of the second film was hilarious. That kind of redeemed them for me

Wait, I'm not involved in fandom, but I thought everyone thought they were funny and adorable and I was the minority for finding them irritating and stupid?

I liked them in the two Despicable Me movies. I thought they were adorable. They could not hold their own in a movie, though. They are best in small doses. Their own movie was horrid.

Ginny from HP for me too, also Orihime in Bleach.
Love them so much -- ginger gurls rule!

I love Cho Chang and I love that she ended up marrying a muggle despite me shipping Harry/Cho (tho I'm glad that relationship ended).

I was always fascinated by her life outside of what happened with Harry. She was a loyal friend, and I often wonder what made her so popular among her peers before Cedric's death/her own depression. She was smart, kind and good at playing quidditch. She was on Harry's side even after they had a falling out and she (presumably) fought in the Battle of Hogwarts.

Idk idk I just think she's awesome and I wish people didn't dismiss her as a crybaby who "omg hates Hermione" (hello, she was pissed on behalf of her friend)
