Man of Steel. It was so dull it was dull. It was this generation's Star Trek: The Motion Picture

I don't mind "bad" movies, which are usually at least entertaining, but MoS was dull, dull, dull, and didn't even have the 70s mood piece vibe going for it. Plus it had Detective Ragemonkey in it, and the actor didn't even try to make it seem like a different character (which he *can* do, he was hilarious in Scrubs). If the actors are clearly phoning it in, then it is bad. Even the SFX didn't even look terribly convincing, for all the money they spent. I mean, dildo prison pods? Oh, please.

Bad because it was boring as fuck: Timeline and Bloodrayne.

Die Hard V. It's not bad in fun, charming way, it's bad in a cynical, soul-sucking way.

It's especially jarring because Die Hard IV (the one with the IT stuff) was actually a lot of fun.

600 kilos d'or pur
A bunch of fuckers steal 600 kilos of gold (that's roughly 1200 pounds of gold in freedom units) from super angry bad guys who exploit the poor indigenous people of Guyana or wherever it was shot. Or something. I remember it hitting every terrible and cheesy plot about survival movies ever. Thing is their escape plan goes FUBAR and they have to crawl through the jungle with their box of gold, while being chased by the bad guys. So there's the fucker who goes cray and tries to kill everyone and keep the gold for himself. There's the honest man who does this in remembrance for his friend who dies. He also wants to bang his dead friend's wife. The wife comes with them for some reason. She also makes their escape plan go FUBAR in the first place because she went all white savior on the poor indigenous people while everyone was busy stealing a shitton of gold from very angry South African mercenaries or whatever.

ANYWAY I don't remember much of it outside of ridiculous plans (at one point a helicopter blows up and instead of just showing it blow up, we see the eye of an alligator reflecting the explosion of the helicopter. I'm sure this is some very deep symbolism. I still haven't figured it out). There was also a fight with the hero and a mercenary but it was a recorded movie and the record fucked up right then so I missed it. Then hero confessed his love to dead friend's wife. In the morning he hears a chopper so he tells her to hide with the gold and he goes on top of the hill. And then there's a mega zoom on his face and there is the single manly tear rolling down his cheek while loud violin music plays in the background. ARE YOU SAD YET? Then he eats a missile and dies. The film ends when the poor indigenous people of Guyana find the gold and the dead friend's wife happily live with them ever after. THE END.

I hate to say it, but The Covenant. I know a few people here find the cheesy bits entertaining, but I got so much secondhand embarrassment from that film; it was all around excruciating for me. Never again, even if Sebastian Stan is beautiful.

One I saw in theaters probably... seven, eight years back? Or more? Called "Pathfinder", about a Viking boy who was left with Native Americans and thus raised by them. It was the only movie I would've walked out on, but my friend wanted to see just how bad it would be. I was angry the entire time.

I think I'd have to say Skeleton Key 2: 667 Neighbor of the Beast

It's obscure as fuck but it was so bad, stream couldn't get through it. I actually turned it off because it was just so horrible.

The Green Hornet was so many kinds of bad that I put the name out of my head and just spent ten minutes trying to persuade myself that I wasn't mixing it up with the Green Lantern.

Mission Impossible 3 remains the only movie I've ever walked out on in theaters.

Also I was rec'd A Serbian Film because I was looking for scary movies with real emotional involvement, and it was so empty and pointlessly violent that it looped totally around to boring. I could practically feel the director patting himself on the back for being so ~subversive.

The Neverending Story 2. I walked out halfway during the movie after coming to the conclusion that it sucked compared to the original. I was a kid back then, so it must have sucked pretty hard.

Shark Tale

It looked awful to me in the previews but my friend guilted me to go see Shark Tale with her. Worst animated movie I ever paid to see.

It was so so dumb and even kind of creepy looking (the fish had little hands.) And once the musical number came in I was done. Even for a kids movie it was terrible (a lot of kids movies have something fun in them and some are even better then adult movies, but this was not.)

In the 80s Rob Lowe was in a movie with Winona Ryder in which he played a mentally challenged young violinist who tried to eat her button and later on cut his dick off with a pair of scissors and tbh I think that tops my list of Irredeemable Film

Recent ones...

The Age of Adaline was pretty bad. Not terrible, not so-bad-it's-good, just average and not a very compelling love story.

In Time also continues to make me angry for having a cool concept and ruining it.
