Honestly, I always want to curl up in a fetal ball when faced with the voting process (even though I'm only old enough to've voted in one Presidential election, and thanks to our school's mailing system, I didn't get to), because I always figure it's a matter of the lesser of two evils.
...Now I'm kinda sorta totally tempted to do them.

14. I feel the same way. I've got half a dozen or so mixes that I keep planning to make. Heck, I still have a series of X-men Evolution fics that I was going to make, each one based on a different BareNaked Ladies song.

20. I'm surprised by how much I relate to this secret.
I'm very very straight. But when I was younger, I always related more to the guy-characters than girl-characters. I also very desperately wanted to be an actor. And now that I think about it, the reason I gave up without really ever trying was because I realized that as a girl, I'd have to be an actress, which (especially in high school) is a totally different thing--you have to sing, for one, and be poised. And worst of all, you don't get to be funny. I hated girl-character funny. I wanted to be the wacky guy character.

I still remember realized that girls only got crappy roles (in my mind at the time) when I auditioned for a grade school play as the lead villian. I was the best one--I was funny and menacing and I totally got into the part. But only guys could have that part.

I wish I'd stuck with acting now, just so I could run the chance of having a few blind-castings and getting a guy's part.

Darn. Now I'm kind of depressed.

3. Ugh, yeah. There's some fanfic authors who I see only like to write him as a raving lunatic, and it makes me so sad. Out of all the FF villains to portray as a mouth-frothing lunatic... =( Vayne's morals might be loose, but he's not the sort of crazed madman that some portion of the fandom deems him. It makes me so disappointed to see people praising writers who characterize him that way, too, because it makes me feel like somehow, people have missed the entire point of his character and don't even know it.

24. Make it clear you don't want to steal their turf. I think expressing yourself in other venues is a good thing, and I can't see why a friend would think anything else. Maybe they can even help you improve, who knows?

39. ... You know, I would argue this because I like Monk and think those icky hormones and GERMS and whatnot that come with kissing and other unsavory things should stay away from it. But after that episode where they made a tv-episode about Monk IN the show, and they cast the younger guy as a girl who made out with the 'show within a show's Stottlemeyer? I see it. I don't ship it, but I still see it, and it is made of luls and justice.

Luffy orders Franky to coup de vent them out of there as soon as they step on the boat. Epic in the making there.
