I'll never get the RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE people have over being spoiled. You can still enjoy the story even if you know what's going to happen. Focus on the execution of the plot rather than the plot itself. Discover that background character nobody talks about. The world is not over.

59. I'm miffed that they cut that frame out of the DVD release :| I have my VHS copy and I want to put together a "complete cut" of my own but alas, I have no video editing software or anything to pull the video off the VHS tape and digitize it.

Come to think of it, I don't even have a VCR anymore.

God I miss GW fandom. It was more batshit than almost any other fandom I've been in since and I'm pretty sure that 50% of the people in it were smoking crack and/or never watched more than 3 episodes. But I still loved it anyway.

Personally, I loved Itachi's sudden turn into facially expressive Batshit Crazy. It was unexpected, but hilarious. The only unexpected part was him actually having a facial expression. He has them so rarely.

As for your feeling weird or skeevy about it...while I don't write such stuff myself, don't feel that way. People have been writing adult PR fics since...well, probably since the beginning 15 years ago. Believe me, you certainly wouldn't be alone or seen as weird by any stretch of the imagination.

And is it just me, or have there been a lot of PR-related secrets lately? Nothing wrong with that at all (in fact, I'm pleased by it), but it's just an observation.

65. Seriously, I love anime and I was just as irritated as you are about cute/pretty/'moe' styles. What you need to do is pick up Tokyo Godfathers, Millennium Actress, or Paprika. Not only are they brilliant films, but Satoshi Kon represents a broad variety of characters with his designs, and they're also not that crappy ass SOOPER-KAWAII-DESU-DESU stuff.

Really, I love his stuff. He's got old and ugly, young and pretty, fat, impossibly skinny, etc. etc. and they all have their own personalities that doesn't fit entirely with the stereotype. One of my favorite characters by him is a woman named Maria from "Tokyo Godfathers"--she's a minor character that's only in the movie for a few minutes, but she's absolutely gorgeous and entirely 'overweight' in terms of the anime norm.

dfvidsugndsihf I could go on for hours about the awesome that is Satoshi Kon, but seriously. Check his stuff out. He is the most brilliant film-maker ever, and I wish he got so much more acclaim here in the states than he does.
