21. I know exactly how you feel. I used to ship them like BURNING, but I think I actually prefer them with a brotherly dynamic nowadays. Mostly 'cause I sat down and tried to piece together how it would actually happen if they DID get together, and I realized just how, uh, sibling-y it really is between them. Whoops. D8

Not that it can't be well-written or well done, or that it's completely implausible. But I just feel kind of bad, 'cause I have friends who really ship it in a romantic way, and I wish I could still like it the way they do.

42. I totally agree. I remembering geeking out about all the side characters for a long while, and then when the story was like, "OH YEAH THE PLOT IS ACTUALLY ABOUT THIS GUY," I dropped the series like a hot potato. ;;

44. Yeahhhhh, I remember that. All too well, actually. G Gundam was so charming and fun, so it was kind of sad to see veterans of the fandom go apeshit anytime someone wrote a non-canon pairing. Especially since my OTP was kind of out there, so I mostly just wrote a few fics and kept them to myself. As a result, I lost interest in the fandom pretty quickly. ;; In retrospect, I wonder if there were others like me out there.

Gergh, the hate for this poster is understandable, but I don't think it's justified. I mean, she acknowledged that it's a bitchy thing to think. And it is.

But I kind of agree. I mean, less so with fandom because you never see anyone's face, but I don't want to be put in the same category as either the a) crazy screaming fangirls or b) ugly fat cosplayers that go to cons. It's not hate for any specific person, but I hate the stereotype and people that propagate it. They DO make us look bad!

In general I think people here are way too hard on secrets like this. Did you ever wonder WHY it's a secret? I think it's better that a person can admit their prejudices/flaws and even post anonymously about them than not be aware and end up the worse for it. Not everyone is morally sparkling clean. Just because the OP is being judgemental (and I suppose I am, too) doesn't make it okay for you to judge her right back.

I feel the same way, every time I try to shoot down some idiot 16 year male in any given zone's Gen chat. Except I can't even bring myself to play Horde since I hate anorexic female BEs but can't stomach playing any of the other races--my main is a female human and my alt is a female draenei.

I feel like such a hyprocrite. :/
