Anyone else here play this?

I've been playing it on-and-off since 2005, when it was still called Pokemon Crater. My parents wouldn't buy the official Pokemon games for me, so it was the closest I could get.

I kind of wish it had its own anon meme, like the one for Flight Rising. The forums are full of illiterate 12 year olds.

Do pokemon have IVs in this or are they all the same?

I'm not sure, but possibly? To be honest, I don't fully understand how IVs work to begin with.

I have no idea how to catch pokemon! I tried using a pokeball but nothing happened and it skipped a turn...

The trick is to get a pokemon's HP really low without killing it. Even then, sometimes you have to throw several of pokeballs before one sticks. Just like in the official games, great balls and ultra balls are more effective than normal balls and master balls are 100% guaranteed to work.

But having said that, I wouldn't recommend using a master ball to catch a non-legendary, no matter how tempting it may be. They cost waaaaaaay too much. You can win master balls for free by playing the sidequests, but that can take a while since each sidequest has like 100 battles.
