F!S Anon Meme (the ??th!)

F!S Anon Meme (the ??th!)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required.
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff. If you want me to link your thread up here, drop a link in the first comment!

General:

Fandom-general:

I admire writers who can turn out a good or at least decent quality fic every week, or a long fic every month or so. That's really amazing to me.

But when a person is posting a couple of fics every day, to me it just registers as spam, and the person comes across as an immature writer, because they're obviously not spending much time with their internal editor.

I guess if someone was posting fics every day and they were genuinely good fics, I might have to change my opinion of their writing, but I have never once seen that happen. Every time I've seen a writer who turns out fics like that, the fics always turn out to be either horrible, or unspeakably bland, or else they're all Mary Sue fics in which the main character gets together with a character who is obviously a stand in for the writer.
