68. YES. YESYESYES. Poor Riley. I loved him and was SO sad for him. (I was a member of the Riley Defenders back in the day.) Of course, it probably helped that his season was the first time I watched Buffy thanks to my roommate, but seriously, he was one of the reasons I even started watching. Him and his arms. Yum. "Those are good arms to have." And yes, he was the most stable, healthy, wonderful, normal(ish) relationship Buffy ever had, and noooo they couldn't have that. Must have teh angst.

Bah. I still ♥ Riley. (And WTF was up with having him come back married? Cop-out, Joss.)

19. Not part of the fandom, but I'm in several fandoms where this is a problem. I never understood the appeal-- frankly, the more fucked up and dichotomous a character's personality is, the more they interest me. I only like MPD if it's canon. Otherwise, no.

24. I know how you feel. He's one of the only characters who has any redeeming qualities whatsoever. Not that I'm complaining-- half the fun of DN is that so many of the characters are complete douchebags.

35. You subscribe to pseudo-scientific bullshit theories that have been completely disregarded since the advent of genetics? Guess you're not going to be procreating, then-- unless you're a filthy, filthy hypocrite.

39. I agree with the sentiment with the two on the right (especially the one in the middle). The one on the far left, not so much.

51. Although I have to agree that Rhys is one sexy mofo, I completely disagree with your assessment of Gwen. Gwen is made of awesome, despite all of her flaws.

58. FUCK. YES. That is the best piece of Digimon fanfic on the internet. It's a pity that she took down a whole bunch of her one-shots-- they always had my favourite characterization of Ken.

68. It was certainly the most 'normal' relationship, but 'healthy' I'd have to disagree with. Riley was flawed, but no more so than any of her other love interests. It does piss me off that he gets such poor treatment in fandom-- it's very unfair to single him out as the 'bad boyfriend'.

I don't think he got singled out as "bad boyfriend", just "boring, filler-y, lame boyfriend", and therefore he didn't appeal to shippers, and shippers were crazy the way they are and bashed him because they won't tolerate anyone who gets in the way of their ships. Meh. He still didn't deserve it.

64: Man, I'd love to see Godzilla vs. Kira. Something tells me that since Godzilla's name was only informally given to him by humans as a means of identifying him (and as such amounts to little more than a nickname) the Death Note wouldn't work on him. And I'd love to see that smug prick, Right-O, absolutely powerless against the unflinching personification of nature's malevolence as it mowed him down in nuclear hellfire without a second thought.

No, I'm not a Death Note fan. I'm especially not a Right-O fan. :3

69: Speaking as someone who finds most Chars to be sorry, one-dimensional madmen wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a shell wrapped in pretty, nonsensical faux-phlisophizing, I have to admit even I'm liking Graham. You're not without merit here.

I'd actually say that no one is good enough for him because they show sets him up to be a goddamned Saint, it's like no one in the world approaches the holy sun shines out of his ass Horatio *shrugs*.

Sorry secret maker, I'm not that terribly fond of the character or the actor (or the show...) but if you think you're the only one good enough for him go a head then. Write fic about it? I don't mind oc's or self inserts if they're written well enough, unless this is just a pure fantasy thing.

#19. If they were talking about neutral people or people who aren't vile, then they'd have a point(people that are "mean" to neutral people tend to be "mean" to their nearest and dearest eventually). But, NO ONE in Castle Oblivion was neutral. They were ALL Axel's enemies and not just people he saw as enemies because he didn't like them, but because they really WERE mutual enemies. Basically, he was surrounded by them and couldn't afford to be "nice". Plus, a lot of what he did was done as a means to keep Sora and Roxas separate, AND cultivate a similar friendship to Riku and Sora. I'm sure he had other motives too, but Roxas was part of it.

It has to do with double standard thinking too. Like, Axel is "allowed" to be meeean to people the fans don't like, but god forbid he be meean to someone they DO like. They can't believe that he can be meeean to Zexion (example), but oh no nice to Roxas. It couldn't possibly be the same person! OH NO! So, they disassociate the two as if Axel is nothing more than a cardboard cutout. Otherwise, they'd hate his guts, and it's kind of hard to "ship" Axel/Roxas when you hate one half of the pairing. Even if they don't "ship" Axel/Roxas, it's a form of denial. They can't believe that a "woobie" could be so cruel to others. Never mind, of course, that the OTHERS are his worst enemies.
