47. Uhh.... Ed's easy to hate. and I rather dislike him, myself. But I don't understand people that can absolutely loathe the main character of a series and still continue to watch it.
I'd be so annoyed, I'd just quit.. really.

Unless the chara you loathe is one of those 'love to hate' them types like Light from Death Note...I read quite a bit of that and I know I hated Light's guts ;)

For some reason, I think I'd have much less of a problem if it was manga instead of anime. I don't know why, I just think in most of the series I've gotten into there's so much going on in the manga you can ignore the main character if you really dislike them.

In the anime, they kind of ... force you to deal with them, a lot.
Like Ed, who's in 50 out of 51 episodes in the series.

I've actually never gotten into Death Note myself, but I get the feeling Light is definitely one of those easy/love to hate type characters, too. So I'm sure I understand exactly where you're coming from on that one. My opinion of characters tends to flux, depending, but I don't think I've -ever- passionately hated a main character like that.

*nods* Yeah, I can see that...I remember not liking Ed very much when the FMA TV started (though that wound up changing.) Passionate hate of a main character? Well, that will just keep me from getting into a series period XD (This would be why I'm not into DGM; I can't stand Allen >E )

Is there actually ANY Matsuda/Ide fic out there? I can think of two, one which isn't actually romantic and one on the

dn_kink meme and that's IT. Given the last chapter, I'd have thought the fandom would have been TEAMING with the stuff ...
