Basic-tier hair care

I mean I wash my hair regularly and brush it, but it's thin, straight, and past shoulder length gets messy easily. I know how to put it up in a ponytail, but that's about it.

What's my best course of action (including a haircut or hairstyles if need)to hate it less?

Try Google searching for "hairstyling straight, thin hair" or "hair care tips for fine, straight hair". I would have to actually see your hair to be sure, but I'm guessing it's also fine in texture and tends to get oily easily? What you want are shampoos and conditioners that are lightweight (not full of a lot of oils or waxes that will weigh your hair down and that you don't need if you have oily hair at all), and styling products that say "volumizing" or "body-building".

(My left armpit's been inexplicably itchy lately...)

...it's HIGHLY unlikely this has anything to do with deodorant.

Idk but sometimes deodorant will irritate me and clog my pores if I don't wash it off well enough

Could be a fungal thing if its only one armpit. Can you see anything unusual-looking, is it red or swollen?

It is entirely possible to develop an allergy to something you have had long term exposure to. Improbable, but not impossible.

It is not possible to be allergic to something in one localized spot.

See a doctor if the condition worsens, the skin becomes red or inflamed, or sores/bumps/pustules/other discoloration develops.

If they recently changed the formula, maybe. And even if not, you can sometimes develop allergies to things you were okay with before. But it might be something else if it's only one arm. Try taking a pic and GISing? Might be irritation/contact dermatitis or (sorry) ringworm.

Has anyone else ever acknowledged one bit of author stated canon, but ignored another? I had an idea about a fic involving Umbridge's squib brother, but fudged her canon age a bit to make it work how I planned it, and I feel kinda bad for cherry-picking canon.

Music that responds to onscreen action?

There was this thing a few years ago where video game composers really wanted to have "dynamic" fight music. When a punch connects, the music does this, when it misses, it does that, and it feels responsive without being jarring or producing discordant notes. Since the player directs the pace of the fight scene, this was thought to be quite difficult, but they wanted to pull it off to make games more like movies and television. At the time, I didn't really know what they were talking about and didn't pay any attention.

I just watched Danny Phantom for the first time, and now I want to know: besides DP, what the hell were they trying to mimic? Were they going all the way back to old Merrie Melodies and Betty Boop cartoons? Almost everything I see on television and in movies has tracks you could listen to on a solo CD, either matching the general pace of the track to the general pace of the onscreen action, or interrupting with a discordant note and changing tracks when the mood changes. DP's the only show I've seen that has music directly and fluidly react to action and was made after the 1960s.
