I disagree. The first Avengers is the worst -- effectively zero characterization except for the Hulk. Everyone else is kind of a slightly exaggerated version of themselves from their other, better movies.

I haven't seen the Netflix series, but I agree that the MCU movies aren't really all that. The first Thor was pretty dire, actually.

Lots of people do. For starters, it has a 92% critic score and a 91% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. There's nothing wrong with not liking The Avengers, but talking down to someone who likes the movie, and acting shocked that they have an opinion that agrees with the vast majority of critic and audience opinions? That just makes you look petty and foolish. "Whaa! The majority opinion is not with me on this and I can't accept that! Whaa!"

I like all the movies(and the shows) in some way tbh, even the Thor films which really are some of the weakest solo movies. I'm here for the characters really.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is (easily) my favorite of the films and as far as quality goes I think it stands up to Jessica Jones and Daredevil. Everything else? ... Er, probably isn't quite as good. And I say that as someone who really adores the first Thor, Captain America and Iron Man films. (Everything else is pretty good, okay, or meh.)

I haven't seen either of those series, but I thought Agent Carter was pretty good. But I will give you that Agents of SHIELD was, at best, mediocre(people say it has gotten better this season, but I watched it for two seasons before I gave up and I don't think they'll lure me back).

I liked the first Iron Man movie, the first Avengers movie, and both the Captain America movies. As for the rest, I didn't care for the ones I did see (Hulk, Thor, Age of Ultron) and didn't want to see the others (The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Ant-Man).

For me I like Daredevil and Jessica Jones the least because I have trouble swallowing cheesy comic book dialogue when things are taken super seriously.

Everyone has different taste though, the arguments about this are a little ridiculous at times.
