I like the character designs for the young mutants (Jean Grey, Storm, etc). I (surprising to me) love the idea of Mystique working with Charles (and them protecting each other).

I can't figure out who the "Four Horsemen" are though. I saw Storm and Magento. Who were the other two? Angel?

Even if it was terrible, I'll see anything for Michael Fassbender, soooooo.

I can buy Mystique working w/ Charles after the end of the last movie. I actually like the idea.

Ooo, yea! I really enjoyed their relationship in First Class and was SO massively disappointed when Raven (and Erik) just left Charles on the beach like that.

WHAT THE FUCK, GUYS!

And all their scenes together in DOFP were great too. I love the affection they hold for each other; it's sweet. Thinking of them finally reuniting (hopefully in a more permanent fashion) makes me happy. When Raven called out to Charles in the trailer... the feels, man. (Even more-so that Erik was the one moving him. DAMMIT, ERIK. I know he's mind controlled but jfc Erik.) I love me some protective siblings.

Exactly. Azazel could've done that in two seconds. Every time I watch that film I scream at them; for two people who love Charles SO MUCH, shouldn't they give a second of thought to his health? Just because you have different opinions doesn't mean you leave the guy severely injured on a damn beach.

That punch in DOFP was satisfying, lol.

I see they're still keeping it a period piece -- looks like the 80s/early 90s, which is arguably one of the high points of the pre-2000 X-Men franchise.

Hopefully it'll be better than the comic -- I thought the Age of Apocalypse event was fucking dull.

Well, it can't be as bad as Fox's bastard child The Fantastic Four! The other XMFC universe movies have been awesome, so I got high hopes for this one. Though I was under the impression it would be in two parts...

It mostly looks good. Even as a non-religious person, though, it bothers me when this sort of thing mentions real world religious figures that modern people still follow. So the Yahweh and Krishna mentions bug me (not sure if people still worship Ra, but if they do that one bugs me too).

I really like the look of Storm and it seems like her powers are going to be pretty kick-ass(juiced up from being a horseman yes but still, gimmie). The brief glimpse of Jubilee was cool also Nightcrawler! Yay!

I'm not sure why Mystique wasn't blue though but her working with the other X-Men is cool and I'll see where they go with it.

She really does! I like her general look and I hope we get to see her use her powers in really neat ways.

It was a really nice trailer! (Shiny, exciting, etc.) I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. All the younger mutants look good and I hope they get their fair share of screentime (AKA, more than the side-characters in First Class did). The music was excellent (though Inception-y...everything is now) and the whole 'four horsemen' thing could be pretty cool. I'm looking forward to seeing how the villain gets beat since he seems nigh impossible to overcome in the trailer. (Not that this is a new thing for film, but someone who can control minds and is using their power for evil...that's more than a bit challenging, to say the least.)

I hope that Charles and Erik get to work together on the same side at some point, and that it isn't for one two minute scene. I need some more Charles/Erik in my life. (Also, on a shallow note, I've been almost dreading Charles losing his hair because while I have no issue with shaved heads in general, I didn't think James McAvoy could pull one off. He can, though! He looks great. My shallow ass is pleased.)

So yea, I'm here for it.

Man, McAvoy has the most gorgeous hair. I think that's why I was so put off at the thought of him bald; I'm so used to looking at James with his lush hair, and it's a massive difference.

At the same time, he really does rock it. I typically find him pretty as hell, but he looks unexpectedly hot bald.

I haven't looked in quite a while, but I will def be sucked back in when the film comes out. It's inevitable.

He was the character I was most attracted to and I'm not at all attracted to him anymore. Bald is just a deal breaker for me. That being said, he does pull it off and he does look like Xavier should.

This is one of those ships that I love when the movies come out and then lose interest. But this trailer has given me some feels again, so I've been reading fics today.

I kind of get that because I 'fandom hop', but I wouldn't even say I lose interest. It's just...I have so many interests that I can't juggle them all at once; it's impossible for me to keep up with that many fandoms. They have to go on the back-burner.

So when a new X-Men film comes out my interest comes back full force, but I don't stick with it forever.

Oh god, is that what poor Oscar Isaac is going to look like the entire movie? I mean, I know I shouldn't have expected anything else but... what a waste! They have JLaw out of her Mystique makeup for whatever reason!

At least Fassbender looks good.

Well, it is a bit easier to rationalize why JLaw would be in human form. Apocalypse is just an ugly fucker. At least it is his voice!
