I'm just still sizzling with outrage that I can't buy Rey's blaster. (The LPA NN-14 model, since you ask.) It's the most beautiful piece of handgun design I've seen in a movie in many years, and I HAVE A MIGHTY NEED.

I just wanted an iPhone case with good guys on it. All Target has is bad guys. Fail.

My daughter is having a Mario bros themed birthday party next week (9 years old). Her cake plates are going to be Star Wars, though, because she was so excited that they had Rey and Finn on them.

I have yet to look for Star Wars toys (I've been meaning to, though!) in my town (done some browsing online instead).

What toys are selling best? Kylo Ren, maybe? If it's Kylo Ren, I'm not surprised. (Not even because 'he's white', but because villains have always been super popular, especially in the Star Wars universe. Look at how much SW merchandise includes Vader. I don't see half the amount of Luke merchandise as I do Darth Vader. I think villains just sale better.)

There could be a racial aspect to it, but that might not be the only reason Finn's figures aren't selling faster.

I've heard it's difficult to find Rey merchandise in stores (maybe there's more now, but I remember browsing websites for Rey stuff around the release of the film and there wasn't much to find), so if that's the case I'm not surprised people are buying it when they see it.

I want all the merchandise. Rey, Finn, Kylo, I'd even like a Phasma toy despite her lackluster appearance in the film. That Stormtropper suit is shiny (and sexy!).

I kinda want one of those since I have had a crush on John Boyega since attack the block. I have never watched a single star wars film though 😕. Maybe I can find one I can dress up.

Yesterday I went to Wal-Mart to see if they had any Star Wars merch. There were a total of eight action figures left on the shelf; five Finns, and three Palpatines.

Fuckin' PALPATINE is a more popular action figure than Finn. Incredible.

That particular toys is actually crap. It has nothing to do with the character. In my area there are shitton of Iron Man and Spider-Man toys just like that Finn that just don't sell. It's the figure itself, not the character.

Uh....ok. If I had more money I probably would have blown it on a shelf full of star wars toys by now.

While I have no trouble believing that racism is a factor, it could also be that there were more Finn toys made/shipped to begin with. Also, there is A LOT of junky star wars shit for sale right now so maybe some of his (& other characters) other merch is selling better?
