Mystrade! I love Mystrade. Is there even still a Mystrade fandom at this point though? I wrote a huge fic for Mystrade and never posted it because the fandom all but died.

Given this series and its creators, I find I can't really give much credence to "all the evidence points to it".

I don't know about "all the evidence points to it", but I do think it would require less work to pull off than the other pairings. (Not that I don't think Sherlock and John have plenty of chemistry, build-up and affection to construct a relationship from, but with Mary around it would take a good bit of time and effort to break John and Mary up, then pair Sherlock and John up. I don't think it will ever happen. And Sherlock and Molly...I just don't see it. Sherlock respects Molly, and I think he likes her more than most people, but imo that's about it.)

Isn't this the only scene they've had together, too?

Molly would probably be more likely to get together with Lestrade, but I would be fine with Mycroft and Lestrade.

They briefly had a scene together when Sherlock flees from the hospital and Lestrade goes to Mycroft to get ideas of where he might be hiding... but that's it as far as I can remember. (Also, the scene in the secret is all in Sherlock's head, so if it's shippy then maybe Sherlock ships it.)

That muddles things further, then. (Though if Sherlock ships them, maybe they are well suited for one another. He should be able to 'see' enough to predict their 'type'.)

Don't know about "all the evidence" though. There hasn't actually been much in the way of evidence beyond "these two dudes are aware of each other's existence."

I stopped speculating what pairings might happen in canon. Meanwhile all of them seem to be equaly likely and unlikely. I'm just going to watch the show and see what's happening.

I know one of the main writers for the show is gay, but when literally every single depiction of an LGBT character on the show is an offensive stereotype, I very much doubt the show runners would be willing to go there.

I don't mean this to sound mean or anything, (I actually think it'd be neat if they did become canon) but the showrunners don't have a good rap representation-wise
