Eh. I thought the original series was much more unique. Even though it was based on a movie, they expanded on it and came up with much more interesting concepts than Atlantis ever did. At least in my opinion.

WOW i did not expect to see a secret about this here! Totally agreed on Séraphin generally looking way more attractive than Alexis.

i think it's super interesting how they changed the character of Séraphin for the new show; he's still very much the antagonist of the series, but at the same time they also make him easy to relate to (he's a manipulative jerk, but also very hardworking and ambitious). The contrast with the old show is impressive; the old version of the character is iconic, but he's more of a caricature than a full-fledged character.

We're constantly being told that Alexis is this absolutely great guy, but from what we have seen so far he's far from perfect. i personally find him to be a lot less interesting to watch than Séraphin.

i'm not quite sure who the target audience for the new show is supposed to be though? They're definitely not targetting the people who used to watch the old show, since both versions of the story have a completely different feel. i can't stop comparaing the reboot to Deadwood, and it's GREAT.

I want to thank not only God but also Jesus for all the cyborg porn in this fandom. All those fics that deal with how Genos's body is not similar to a normal human's and how that might affect his response to sex have really helped me come to terms with my own complicated sexuality. So what if he can't come or feel things the way he's 'supposed' to feel them, that doesn't stop him from enjoying sex in his own way or wanting to have it with the person he loves. This doesn't seem like anything that should be a secret? You admit the book is good (and why people probably use it as an example) but you also think her other books deserve mentioning. Is that not a normal thing to do when someone is talking about a subject?

Like, if someone was like, 'Steven Spielberg is an amazing director! You should watch Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, and Schindler's List'. It would not seem that weird to me for a third person to go, "Minority Report and War Horse are also great movies by him that you should check out."

Unless it's an exceptionally stupid or offensive name, I think most people wouldn't find it weird to have a pet named after a character from a show though? "She's named after a character in gossip girl" doesn't seem to invite judgment or extra explanations imo.

Georgina is a pretty cool name for a cat by the way :^) Chimpanzees too I guess
