I'll admit at least part of this was for some trolling amusement because what else happens when you mentions Jew on F!S? Another part genuinely dislikes Magneto for focusing all his energies on his mutant plight and ending up adopting a lot of the same tactics as the nazis. My last straw was when he agreed with Shaw and only killed him for revenge against his mother.

Unlike you, I prefer to have my perpetual cycle of hate out in the open. I don't pretend that it isn't there and hope it's stopped existing. Better people should see the hatred in the world with clear eyes.

NAYRT but that pisses me off because it's so totally OOC for him. Even in the first X-movie he wasn't trying to commit genocide against non-mutants, he was trying to make EVERYONE into mutants. It doesn't make sense for him to want to kill everyone who's a mutant because that includes people, like, you know, his family who all died in the fucking Holocaust?! Seriously, what the fuck.

Then again, this is not the only problem the X-Men movies have with internal consistency, characterization, and logic. They're shitty movies overall; the implicit anti-Semitism is just the icing on the cake.

Many people approach it as a secular holiday though. And if you're trying to make a point about how it's often treated in pop culture then I can see claiming it's a secular holiday. So basically it's both depending on who you talk to and you're both correct.

(Oh wait, was this when I said I was bored on Christmas and someone said that I should celebrate Christmas? Because I started that thread but I don't think I'm the one that got super furious at that response.)

I mean, I judge the shit out of Jews who celebrate Christmas because at root it's about the celebration of what is essentially a heretical idol; somewhat paradoxically I don't appreciate the devolution of what is supposed to be a religious holiday into a secular excuse to party and exchange gifts.
