The notion that Magneto would 'forget' or pretend that he isn't Jewish is ridiculous -- in both the prequels and in the old movies his background as Jewish person, or at minimum his experiences in Nazi Germany, is a focal point for his character and one of the main reasons why he's so distrustful of humanity.

Also, not really much you can tell about what he does in his spare time. Considering every time we see him is in the middle of some small war or world ending event or another.

Yeah and it's entirely possible that Magneto could have experienced something similar to what Elie Wiesel where after what he's been through, as far as he's concerned, God is dead. Being in a Nazi Concentration Camp has a tendency to shatter religious notions about there being a god who loves and protects his people.

But given the nature of the original secret, it's in all likelihood that Secret Sender is either a troll or remarkably ignorant/insensitive, though the two are virtually indistinguishable. So yeah, this post is probably pointless.

I'll admit at least part of this was for some trolling amusement because what else happens when you mentions Jew on F!S? Another part genuinely dislikes Magneto for focusing all his energies on his mutant plight and ending up adopting a lot of the same tactics as the nazis. My last straw was when he agreed with Shaw and only killed him for revenge against his mother.

Unlike you, I prefer to have my perpetual cycle of hate out in the open. I don't pretend that it isn't there and hope it's stopped existing. Better people should see the hatred in the world with clear eyes.

Both are pretty integral to his identity, and he acknowledges this. In fact his experience in WW2 is what make him so very obsessed with history repeating when it comes to mutants.

Clearly, with mutants in play, history sort of works out differently, and I can see why "mutant" would be your dominant identity, because superpowers are a much bigger difference than religion or even ethnicity.

As for him not hunting down Mengele. first, we don't know he didn't. Hell, I'm not even sure Mengele exists in this universe.

But say he didn't...that's a slippery slope. What you say is that he basically should have spent the rest of his life murdering old Nazi's. (and you might not see it as murder but legally it would be).

So, is everyone who doesn't kill a Nazi when they can a bad person? Is he different because he is shown to be capable to take a life? I think putting that expectation or responsibility on one person is unreasonable at best.

Race Traitor is not the term I would because Judaism is a RELIGION not a race - calling it a race is part of what the Nazis did wrong but whatever - but the way he is being written, particularly in the 2nd and(if the trailer is anything to go by)3rd movie in the 1st class series is so fucking terrible that as a Jew I'm cringing.
