Craziest trigger/content warnings you've seen - GO

I recently added "siblings" to the list right under the actual color blue.

Bruh this thread is my list. B) I SORT of have a list in that I keep track of just the craziest one I've seen, which in this case "siblings" just replaced "blue" yesterday.

I know Anti-SJW types love to scream this but seriously, how does someone who's physically afraid of the concept of siblings leave the house. They don't right? They just don't?

that one has been pretty common for me, you can blame eating disorders for it

"tw queerbaiting" on a post that was literally just a gifset of Dean and Castiel looking at each other.

Eyes.
It was on a perfectly normal fanart of a character with the normal number of eyes looking at the viewer. No multiple eyes or lots of little holes or anything that should be remotely disturbing.

Once someone reglogged an image from me that was just of a full body singer at a concert, so her mouth happened to be open, and added the warning "teeth" in the tags. Like, I guess you could sort of see her teeth...

Reminds me of the scopophobia craze, apparently people were over tagging it with normal pictures since no one had any idea of what is scary about eyes in general and it made it worse for actual scopophobes to avoid it.

Dogs makes sense to me considering people can be attacked, bitten, and even outright killed by dogs.

I think anything past the Main Ones (Violence, Torture, Death, Rape, Incest, and Eating Disorder) is overkill.

What about common phobias (spiders, bugs, snakes, etc.)?

I honestly don't see the point in the huge tag strings that amount to the same redundant thing like : cw blood, cw gore, cw violence... These are obviously different things in subtle ways, but who on the planet is like "I'm fine with violence, but BLOOD? FUCK THAT." The overlap is just too great.

It's especially baffling in fandoms like Mortal Kombat where if you're honestly triggered by blood how can you even be around the fandom/game itself? What is there to engage in, a handful of cute pictures and that is IT.

If you're triggered by adultism, you just might not be one.

Someone tagged "eye horror" on my Sapphire from Steven Universe drawing. Like, I sort of get it - I showed her cyclops eye- but was it really "eye horror" worthy? Especially on a Steven Universe blog?

Re: Craziest trigger/content warnings you've seen - GO

Most of the weird content warnings I've seen are cases of "someone on my friends list is actually specifically bothered by this thing, so I'm tagging this as a favour to them". Which doesn't bug me, because hey, I have a tag for birds because my best friend has a phobia of them and I adore them and take a lot of photos that I like to share with other, non-phobic friends. I get to share my pictures, she gets to not see my pictures, we're both happy.

I only think it's ridiculous when someone flat out demands other people tag for their specific bugaboo. Ask, sure, but it's the other person's right to say no, especially if they don't know you from a hole in the ground.

...I'll admit, though, warning for specific colours is definitely a weird one.

I'm generally okay with people tagging whatever stupid warnings they want on things but someone once tagged a fluffy, totally worksafe fanart I'd done with "cw: pda" or something like that and it pissed me off so much

That reminds me of the time someone reblogged a sketch of Ermac (from Mortal Kombat) I did, and had a tag for "sibling mention". Now, I don't know if it was a trigger warning or not -I honestly can't tell with Tumblr what's sincere and what's facetious anymore-.

After scratching my head for a few moments, It dawned on me that it was b/c I mentioned in the post, that my sister and I were thinking of going to the Alamo Drafthouse's movie party for the Mortal Kombat movie later this month.

That's when I also realized I've gotten too old for this shit.
