Freckles on characters that aren't supposed to have them. Not drawing them on characters that do have them bugs me too, but it's not as common a trend.

I think freckles are fair game on any 2D animated character. It's not like you can get into fine details on an animation.

There should be more fanart of Christian characters in religious habits period, because they're actually pretty cool (the Catholic ones are, at least, don't know about the other churches.)

I don't know how much of a trend it is, but drawing guys as having huge, sort of bubbly muscles like a bodybuilder-in-training when they're not like that at all in the original material?

Drawing characters of average/below average weight as really really fat. Like, spherical. I'm pretty sure it's a kink, but goddamn I wish people would tag it, so I could block it and be done.

Everyone drawn in the same generic Anime style. Now, I love Anime style, but when everyone literally looks the same, except maybe the outfit is different, it gets dull and repetitive. Especially if the character is rugged/muscular/"manly" and they end up looking like a generic Bishi.

Red noses/shoulders/knees. At best, it looks like giant burns on the characters, at worst, they look like giant pimples.

there's a really popular tumblr artist that draws same faces and ngl their art is cute but i wish the artist can grow from drawing the same faces, they've been doing it for years now

- extremely poorly drawn almost stick figure art on ask blogs, why bother making an art ask blog if anyone with a pen could doodle what you just made?
- japanese characters being given radically different skin tones than they have in the anime, not as a purposeful racebend but just because... well I guess tumblr doesn't think diversity exists without dark skin tones
- japanese characters drawn taking part in obnoxiously american high school/college stereotypes like going to prom or wearing letterman's jackets to class
- male characters being drawn with weird child-birthing hips and curvy proportions that make me think the girl drawing them has never seen a male body before

who is that famous artist whose art is everywhere and they draw big-eyed, lifeless girls on largely sepia-toned backgrounds? b/c I hate them and every artist like them.

I don't mind it when the artist is focused and it's done well and with a point. But so many people are just doing it just to do it
