I'm a non cis woman, and I love this fetish even though it flies in the face of everything I've experienced in my life. Apparently I'm doing it wrong and am a selfhating bigot if you believe tumblr.

Are you a trans woman? If so, nah I totally get why it would appeal. I'm a trans guy (which might be part of the reason it bothers me, combined with how horrible like 90% of the stories are that I've read), and my girlfriend is a trans girl. She used to enjoy reading the cuter, tamer romantic TF stuff for exactly that reason.

Tumblr thinks that trans women being into this are being self-hating bigots? O________o I'm afraid to ask, but....why? Even if it's very obviously not my kink, it's pretty fucking harmless, even if I do get irritated at how misogynistic a lot of the stories tend to be.

I admit it's a massive squick for me... but I do know a fellow trans person for whom series like these helped her first come to terms with who she was. You never know what'll be fun for you. Why not enjoy it if you do?

And I get what you mean; the trope is usually done in a completely horrifying way.

I actually have the opposite complaint about why TG (and sometimes futa) comes off as misogynistic. A lot of the Japanese stuff is really wrapped up in the idea that the person who sticks a penis in someone is dominant and the person who has a penis stuck in them is submissive. With TG in particular, there seems to be this idea that anyone who has a cock stuck in them will become desperate to have more in them. (Perhaps they're like tent pegs?)

I mean, I don't think that's really opposite to my complaint? It's one of the things I hate about TF fiction too, especially because I'm a trans man. The idea that because some cis guy (or trans girl, since I currently have a girlfriend :P) sticks their dick in me instead of the other way around means that I'm "submissive" is something that grates on me to no end. So yeah, seeing the transformed female main character in TF erotica constantly screaming "DICK, I LOVE DICK AMAZING DIIIIIIIIIIICK I NEED IT!!" just makes me roll my eyes so far back in my head I can see my own brain.

And yeah, this series is totally guilty of that too, but I let it slide because it wasn't the usual "ANY DICK WILL DO!" slutification (this isn't meant to ridicule women who have casual sex, it's an actual subgenre, usually goes along with "bimbofication") BS, it's made pretty clear that it's Souji's dick and the emotions that go along with them having sex that Kyou is "getting addicted to".

Plus the side route also kind of redeems itself as far as I can tell because female!Souji is really dominant.

You have a point. However, there's nothing wrong with being dom/sub or even promoting that idea. Incidentally, did that spin-off/storyline of the yandere pretty boy getting the disease go anywhere? It was at the point where he was trying to seduce Kyou I think? Man but that whole story was weird as fuck, even more than the original plot.

In the sequel they get their own happy ending. Their story is....weird. They definitely have their reasons for being yandere. (Rape is involved, as per usual.) It makes the character a little more sympathetic...or at least more pitiful?
