What have you recently gotten into/watched/etc.?

Houdini & Doyle, although I think the promos are trying too hard ("They're official relationship status? Bromance!" LOL okay guys.)

I watched the first episode but thought it was a little corny. How does the rest of the series go, in your opinion?

Shadowhunters. I still will never read the books (unless I can get some version with just the two characters I care about) but I am love with that terrible, amazing show. But I still hate the name "Clary Fray (Fairchild)".

If one of the two characters you care about is Magnus (I know he's one of mine), there's a spinoff book of short stories about him called The Bane Chronicles. Not all the stories in it are written by Cassie Claire, either.

From everything I've seen in fandom about the books... I'm not touching them at all. And since Magnus is my fave there's no reason for me to because he's not in them all that much apparently(I could read the Bane Chronicles but really I think I'll just stick with show!Magnus because I love him).

It's garbage TV but I love it.

I watched it for the first time like two weeks ago. It was pretty damn good! Way better than I thought. But I am so glad I didn't so see it in theaters with my sisters. That sex montage would have been uncomfortable.

I liked it overall, honestly - it was fun and took a different angle to superhero movies, which I totally respect.

But a lot of the humor was kind of teenage-boy humor. Fart jokes and such. And while it played that it was making fun of superhero story tropes, it really had the same plot as any of them - victim-turned-superhero wants to avenge himself on the baddies, and his girlfriend gets kidnapped.

Also wish it had more gay in it, that actually felt gay and not like aforementioned 16-year-old boy humor but wasn't surprised at not getting that, either.

Overall, a very fun movie.

I didn't watch it until it came out on Blu-ray and it was fine? People hyped it up like crazy, of course. I admire what they managed to achieve on a relatively small budget but it's not a favorite for me.

I haven't finished it quite yet, mostly because I'm having a weirdly hard time understanding the dialogue which is off-putting. And the subtitles are fucking huge.

I've spent the last two days watching Judge Rinder on Youtube. He's the British version of Judge Judy, sort of. But funnier. He's awesome. I love him.

I got into Borderlands last year. I mean, I had BL1 when it came out, but other than one playthrough I didn't really touch it much. But playing through the series has been an enjoyable ride. I'm probably going to start Pre-Sequel now that Doom 2016 is done.

I'm about to start Deep Space Nine. I remember my family being into it, but pre-teen me didn't care about all the politics of it and never really watched. So it feels new to me.

Supernatural. I'm still on the first season, but I like it so far.

What are you liking so far?

Yay, somebody actually later to the Supernatural party than I was! :D Welcome!

The first few seasons are really a tightly written arc, the first five are one coherent story, but even in the later seasons where the overall arc itself was less than stellar, there have still been some awesome individual episodes.

Watching IZombie right now. Not sure if I like it.

I loved it, but also "It's a police procedural! But on the CW!" reeeaaaallly falls under my interests.

I started watching this, too. I think it's a good show if you just want a light comedy with silly jokes and you don't care that it's not a strict police procedural or anything. Mostly I watch it for Ravi. <3

Twilight Zone. I like it. The first episode is my favorite so far.

Dresden files! Harry, you asshole idiot. You're lucky the TV show made me like you because otherwise I'd just be rolling my eyes at how you manage to get the shit kicked out of you every story.

The sentinel! It's so super 90s but the concept is cool and I like the main characters, although I want the hippie kid to CUT HIS DAMN HAIR I am turning into my mother. I can see why sentinel fusions are the lbd of fandom.
