What is the best alcohol to drink to get drunk BUT for people who hate the taste of alcohol.

Vodka is tasteless and works well in just about anything. You can put it in soda or juice and you'll barely taste it.

Bailey's irish cream is amazing. Doesn't taste like alcohol at all. Super sweet. Great in hot chocolate or coffee or on its own.

Vodka is not tasteless. I wish people would stop perpetuating this.

Vodka has a taste, and the taste is like fuel, or rubbing alcohol. It is harsh and nasty. This applies even to the "good" vodkas.

If someone doesn't want to taste alcohol, they should not use vodka. At all. Ever.

I think the taste you are describing is the taste of the alcohol itself. Vodka doesn't have much added taste.

But that is a taste. You can't just say "this has no taste...except for this taste."

The OP was asking about alcohol for peope who don't like the taste of alcohol, so if the taste of Vodka is the taste of alcohol, then people who don't like the taste of alcohol won't like the taste of vodka.

I don't know, it seems pretty tasteless to me. It is one of the few things that I can't taste when I put it into other things. The other main ones (tequila, gin, rum, etc.) all still taste pretty strong even when mixed with other things.

I can always taste it. Always.

THIS. People who say vodka is tasteless don't really understand that alcohol has a taste. Yes, even vodka. I'm not the OP, but I promise you that I, too, greatly dislike the taste of alcohol and I can absolutely, positively tell when it's been added to juice or soda, because then the juice or soda has a nasty bitter taste to it.

lots of mixed drinks. what specifically depends on what flavors you like but there are a lot of mixed drinks that don't taste much or at all like alcohol
you can always experiment with mixing on your own, with soda or hot chocolate or slshes from sonic or whatever

also if you like coffee, kahlua can be pretty good

I'll second kahlua. Most of the other things that people say don't taste like much still seem pretty strong to me (I think I'm just sensitive to the taste of alcohol) but I don't have much problem with kahlua.

Now I want a mudslide.

You can't go wrong with mixed drinks, particularly vodka.

Oh, you too? You have bought into this bullshit? I would have expected better.

It's okay not to like vodka, it's not okay to act like this.

see, I do drink vodka and baileys and kahlua but I think they all taste like booze. if the balance of mixer and booze is just off enough, I can definitely taste it. mind, I don't care, but if you do care, you have to be careful - and if you're not a lightweight, it'll take a lot more of those mixed drinks to get you drunk.

quality also plays hard into it. cheap vodka tastes like ass and it doesn't matter how much lemonade or orange juice you mix it into, you can still taste it. cheap rum, the same. rum & coke is my basic jam but cheap rum tastes so obvious. maybe I'm just too German but I can't afford the kind of rum that will get me plastered.

Myer's Rum is pretty good and not that expensive, though.

I hate the taste of alcohol, and I'm one of those people who thinks vodka has A Taste.

That being said..... I really liked vodka cranberries? Like? I don't like vodka, or cranberry juice, but mix them together? Apparently I do like them, quite a bit.

I can't stand the taste of alcohol either, so for me anything that is really flavorful some other way is good. Fancy fruity drinks, egg nog, alcoholic milkshakes or smoothies, whatever.

You might try hard cider. It's like regular cider with a little edge (so it doesn't taste exactly like regular cider). And the alcohol content tends to run higher than most beer (if you want to get really drunk). Hard lemonade is okay, too.
So if you're buying stuff to take home, I'd recommend those. Mixed drinks if you're heading to a club.
