Probably too late, but.

Eddings really can't handle female characters well, I think. Except for that adorable firecracker Ce'Nedra (whom he favors), they're ALL THE SAME. And Polgara is twice as obnoxious because she's QUEEN OF THE WORLD but still a lousy aunt.

However, I will always love the series, no matter how trite, because I grew up on it. XD
