The person I'm writing about, though, is making absolutely no effort to leave. The internet IS her life. She won't get a job--won't even go to community college classes--and that's where I take serious issue.

14. I disagree most heartily. While there are indeed many abridged series that are just slapped together and are horrible, the ones that have effort put into them (Yu Yu Hakusho Abridged and Naruto Abridged come to mind) are often quite hilarious, with well-done voices. If you don't think they're funny, fine, but don't tell people not to make them if they decide they want to. That's just assholeish and immature. And most of the comments I've read on this admit that the person hasn't watched any other than YGO Abridged. Wtf. Just because LK did it first doesn't mean other people can't be good at it.

...sorry, I get ranty when it comes to sweeping generalizations.

03. You know what? I concur wholeheartedly. I meant to make a similar secret ages ago, after my roommates stared at me in confusion for mentioning I liked it. Roseanne was about people and family. The funny thing is, I'm not "white trash" at all. Granted, you can go back a generation on my mother's side and find it pretty quick-like (Cajun and all), but I related with so much of what the characters did anyway. They still interacted a lot like my own family. And even though we're nowhere near that age, I see my sister and I in Roseanna and Jackie. People who think it's all nagging and fighting just don't get it. Brilliant show.
And hey, it doesn't negate my geekdom, because Joss Whedon wrote for it, and Darlene had a picture of the Endless in her room.


29. That's one of my things...I think they almost look too similar (even though they don't) or whatever, but...visually, as well as personality-wise, the ship just doesn't work for me.

I haven't read Runaways in forever (just picked up a backissue the other day), but I actually do like drawing chubbier, more realistic girls. It's fun.

69. See, one of the things I think is so amazing about Life on Mars is that jumping off a very tall building is always a bad thing. You would never want to do it, and you would never want anyone else to do it. But by the time Sam comes to that point, that's the only thing you want him to do, and instead of being hopeless or depressing, it a triumphant, fantastic moment.

29. I was kind of freaked out by That Scene in "Adrift," I'll admit. But I found that after watching it 49 times (or...something), I got over it. :D

1. My first encounter with RPF was with crazy Duchovny/Anderson shippers who believed that Chris Carter was deliberately scheming to keep them apart. It's left me thinking that all RPF is creepy and stalkerish, verging on crazy.

I do clean. I clean up after myself. If you've ever lived in a group situation, you'll know that everyone is supposed to be responsible for their own mess. One person should not have to clean up after everyone on top of their own load because someone is too irresponsible to clean up after themselves. That's what acting like an adult is like.
