50. Aw. I remember being a bit like that too, until I realized that with nearly all the shows/books that I love, the plot isn't what draws me. It's always the characters and so I try to couch my love in those terms. Plus, a great deal of shows/books sound ridiculous when watered down to their basics.

And I'd agree that they're my Strawhat Crew too, but my love of Chopper and Franky is righteously strong. Nami's arc was ace, though, and really cemented the bond between the five of them.

But I agree. Liking their attitudes and who they are doesn't mean you're looking to fuck turtles. It means you're looking for people who have personalities that match theirs, and there isn't anything wrong with that.

03. Roseanne secret! I think it's very realistic too, even though really I'm more of a middle-class type from the suburbs. (Not that that's anything to brag about.) And Jackie did make me want a sister.

35. I AGREE 100%. Sometimes it's just not possible for someone to magically become skinny even if they try. It's not a simple matter of "just eat less!" because genetics are a big factor too. It always irked me that she was never really sympathetic or warm -- very distant for a mother figure (though as long-lived as she is, I'd guess there's a lot of issues caring for people who grow old and die over and over as you live on, and so a bit of that aloofness is only to be expected, really) -- and that that was never addressed as an issue. But at the same time, I can understand why she didn't tell him anything about what was to come. If he knew about the prophecies and everything from the beginning, I just don't think his reactions would have been as... genuine, you know?
