After reading a bit from this comic, it's pretty obvious that Mary is the waaay bigger asshole in comparison. At least when Carla fights back, it's ussally pretty tame and harmless. She doesn't sprew out openly transphobic remarks and isnt a giant pissy bully unlike Mary.

So it kinda disturbs me that there are people in this thread taking Mary's side. :/
It reminds me how sometimes, some people will shit on lgbt people whenever they're defending themselves against bigots becauses they wern't "nice enough."

My money is on radfem being a total TERF.

The only people talking about Carla being trans are her defenders.

But that's the biggest reason WHY Mary is such a shit to her. Mary's already been established years ago as being a dogmatic, hateful bully and bigot and the worst sort of Christian. She's a walking stereotype intended to be the one-dimensional villain of the piece with no redeeming factors, and you know it.

Carla wasn't even intending to bother her with the roller skates, she just happened to be skating in the hall like an overgrown child. Mary's response was to break Carla's skates. It could still have been resolvable except that Mary pulled the "not a real woman" card and then blackmailed Ruth into permitting her to bully Carla. In the absence of official support Carla is forced to take matters into her own hands.

Is Carla blameless here? No, but being a childish little shit to Mary is a far cry from Mary being a transphobic bully and relishing in her power over Carla and Ruth.

Mary asked her several times to stop, and Carla ignored her.

And that warrants transphobia and blackmail. TIL

I already said I haven't read the whole comic.
And that comment about Carla alone made me dislike her immeidatly.
