I know not a holiday for everyone. Not even a holiday I'm particularly fond of. But what has everyone done today?

I made chili in the crock pot. I am currently very nearly drunk on Sailor Jerry spiced rum and hope to be actually drunk shortly. Spent a couple hours in the pool earlier.

There's a lot of wincest stuff posted on the 4th of july, so I've mostly been looking at that and eating frito pie. There was a death in the family yesterday, so no one's been in much of a mood to celebrate anything

Just enjoying today off really.

My mom and I went furniture shopping for ideas earlier and then we tried to install the window screens in my place but the screens didn't fit right, so now I have to go buy new ones.

We had a picnic planned with grilled chicken and everything.

Rain had other ideas. It never fuckin' rains around here so it picks the one day I was looking forward to and fucking washes it out. Fuck this shit.

Honestly, nothing festive. Normally we'd have a barbecue but the weather was bad. It doesn't feel like the Fourth, but the Fourth of July isn't a huge holiday for me or anything, so it's no big deal.

(Although I'm starting to feel that way about all holidays.)

Most of it has been spent in airports. I've travelled from Helsinki to Stockholm and right now I'm still on the bus toward Gothenburg. I have six hours 'til I'm home. /Tuska festival-anon

Annoying. My mother informed me just a couple days ago that she had invited a bunch of family over, and then did not tell me it was going to be an evening/night thing instead of the afternoon thing I was assuming it would be because there will be small children involved. So I was planning on doing stuff in the evening after all the people I don't want to interact with were gone, and now that's a bust.

I just did some online shopping after cleaning out my closet. I haven't bought new clothes since high school, which was a long, long time ago. I bought so much cute shit and I can't wait for it to get here. Fireworks are gonna start soon, so I'm gonna let my dog in and watch some old movies.

It's been a bad one. I'm still sick so I've mostly been sleeping the day away and trying to force myself to eat.

My dad, stepmom, sister, nephew, future brother-in-law, and I all went to my grandmother's. Dad grilled burgers, dad, sis, nephew and I went for a swim, nephew and I had a water fight. Low-key, but nice.
