Don't assign me a project and then say you have 'feedback' when actually what you mean is completely changing the scope and expanding the basic purpose of the project. Jesus Christ tell me what you have in mind when you tell me to do the thing in the first place. It's not even feedback at that point urghhhjjjjjjjjjj

Oh god. This happens to my poor co-worker all the time.

"I need these reports on these things." She does them, and then gets, "Oh I meant within this scope/range/dates/totally different things than I asked you initially."

It's always like the same two people, so now she purposefully clarifies everything via email first so she can go back to them all, "No this is what you asked me for..."

We lost our sweethearted kitten for several hours yesterday and it was incredibly upsetting for everyone. He came back all by himself, perfectly fine, thank goodness. But now I feel like I'm living in some kind of happy AU, and I can't stop thinking about what it would've been like if he had never returned. Ugh brain, STOP already.

My brother's girlfriend has made it nearly impossible to talk to my brother alone and since the choice is between talking to both of them or neither and I can't deal with her sometimes I don't talk to my brother as much as I'd like. Today my friend passed along a text he got from her where she asked how I was doing and he asked her why she didn't just ask me personally. She went on about how my brother and I are bad at keeping in touch and how if she had siblings she would try harder but her sister died in the womb. She actually brought that up out of nowhere. Now I'm remembering all the times when she stopped me and my brother from spending time together and feeling annoyed all over again.

Would it help to let your brother know you think your relationship with him is deteriorating because you haven't spent one-on-one time with him lately?

Got a new coworker today. She seems very sweet and nice. But she has a super annoying voice (and a nervous laugh which should go away with time). Hopefully I get used to it soon.

Fuck Tumblr it sucks donkey balls and serves nothing.
I finally gave in, created an account and subscribed to a tags relevant to my interests and... it doesn't work. Stupid Tumblr keeps bombarding me with unwanted posts that come back when I refresh my dashboard after having clicked them out--thanks for the passive-aggressive comments coming with the button that was supposed to make them go away, by the way: totally not helpful.
Posts relevant to my tags only crop up like once or twice a day but disappear from by board with the next refresh even though I didn't erase them from it myself.
What the fuck, what's even the point, how do I sort this mess??

The fucking city of San Jose, California's department of street repair and maintenance needs a fucking refresher course on how to put up signs letting motorists know which lanes are closed BEFORE one actually gets to the lane that's closed. I spent a literal half hour stopped in traffic today because of a lane closure that wasn't indicated. AT ALL. It was just oops, suddenly a lane closure, let's jam up traffic while we stand around scratching our balls. Fucking San Jose is always doing this shit too.

Not much of a vent but it's something that's been bothering me for a while. I work at a fast food place in a pretty diverse area in USA. One morning a couple of older white ladies were ordering food. We can provide certain types of discounts if they pay with membership cards. So I asked them if they're paying with cash or card, and one of the ladies remarked "Obviously I'm paying with money, with real American money." That remark really stuck with me for some reason, nobody said something like that before and it made feel a bit miffed I guess? Is it because I'm brown? Or would she say the same thing to my white co-worker too? Idk I keep remembering this incident every once in a while.

I want to focus on my own life, but I live with my mom, who crossed the line from functional to dysfunctional alcoholic about five years ago, and I'm basically her caretaker. The advice to let her make her own mistakes and focus on myself is well meant, but I stand to inherit her house and any money that's left when she dies, which means I have to make sure her bills and premiums get paid so everything isn't eaten by debt. It's a fuckton easier to deal with her when she's not drunk off her ass, knocking herself silly, pissing herself, and/or forgetting to take her meds, but I can't force her. Social services and her doctors won't step in to help me take care of her unless she tries to stay sober, and she won't. I'm going nuts, and all the "live your own life" crap sounds fine, but I can't afford to live on my own and she can't afford a live in caretaker, and waiting for her to hit bottom and leaving her to clean up her own mess just means waiting forever for bills to get paid, groceries to get bought, laundry and dishes to get washed, piss puddles to be mopped, and so on, until I get sick of waiting and do it myself.

Note to self: Do not forget sunscreen and then spend three hours in the pool. Even if it doesn't look too bad, it will later.

My face and arms are tomato red pretty much. And while my arms don't hurt much, my face really does. Not helping the headache I've had for a few days.

Crazy coworker keeps being overly friendly and inappropriate then birches about me on Facebook. I'm being very polite but stonewalling. I am keeping records of everything and I know he's in quite a few HR disputes so I don't want to get involved but I will if he doesn't leave me alone soon.

Tossing up on taking him somewhere private to give a polite taking to vs HR.

Also he outed me at work.

You're a perpetual self-pitying sad sack who always posts negative shit about yourself but won't respond to anyone who attempts to reach out to you, to offer help or encouragement! And on the rare occasion it's not about you, it's from your obscure-as-fuck fandom! I know its your blog and you can post what you want, and you're depressed and I am SO sorry about your depression, I was treated for depression too and it sucks nasty ass but you can't just keep posting the oh woe is me stuff and expect people to stick around and read that shit day after day! I so wish you felt better and I hope you get better soon, but damn you are tiring!

Pissed at Blizzard for nerfing everything into the ground, pissed at my husband for being super pessimistic and correct about what Blizzard has done, and still pissed at him for harshing on my cautious squee for Legion because he believes that they'll somehow tie the WoW Token and the cash shop to make the Artifact leveling and Class Hall leveling easier.

Basically, he fully believes that due to Activision's meddling, Blizzard is gonna make WoW into a Pay2Win game here soon and the Artifacts and Class Hall resources are a good way to implement that.

I can't catch a break. :C

Tbf, he has been playing WoW since Vanilla and I've only been playing sonce the end of MoP, but still...
