I have a tag for this stuff (well, multiple, but this is the one I can think of atm), but here are some I find sad. (We could be here all day, so I won't go too far. Most are just gifsets because I can't find where I put the fanart...)

Augh, LEGION. My friend found a total tear-jerker about Legion and Tali. It's a one-shot...Do you want me to ask her if she has it bookmarked? iirc it's not shippy in a sexual or romantic sense but it is focused on their relationship.

Ooo, that sounds cool! If she can find it, sure! If not that's fine, but I am totally open to more Legion and Tali. I was always disappointed there wasn't more of them.

Welp, there were tears...

I see why you were so moved. lol.

That was really heartwarming, but damn...I didn't think Mass Effect could get much sadder than canon! The author did a good job of writing a believable scenario between the two of them. If things had been different, maybe that could've been canon.

I teared up looking at the gifs because I'm a sap.

TBH I wasn't a big fan of Edward, but the supporting cast of Black Flag was excellent and the whole end-run of the game was very effective. There was so much loss in that game and seeing Edward's reaction and change really hit me in the feels.

I know, right? At first, I was like "Oh great, he's a douche" which caused me to focus more on the others, then he had to go and punch my feels and make me like him.
elaminator: (Assassin's Creed 2: Ezio)

Re: spoilers everywhere, obviously

[personal profile] elaminator 2016-08-02 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
See, I thought Edward was a douche for like... 80% of the game, and although the gameplay was brilliant and fun, and I liked the secondary cast, it stumped me as to why he wasn't changing, and why the game didn't feel more like an Assassin's game. Then... Well, maybe its just me, but I didn't even think Edward was supposed to be particularly likable, he was just supposed to show how hard change can be, and maybe how even if it takes a long ass time, a person can come to their senses, lol.

That Jon and Stephen link. Oh.

(And now that makes me think of the "We'll Meet Again" singalong Stephen did on his last TCR show. That definitely had me shedding a few tears, too.)

Re: spoilers everywhere, obviously

[personal profile] elaminator 2016-08-01 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I totally cried my eyes out during both Jon and Stephen's last shows. They both meant so much to me and it was difficult to give them both up, and in such close proximity to each other! Stephen singing always gets me (And it was indeed beautiful), but I think that bit in Jon's final show where Stephen praises Jon and makes Jon cry then the hug is about the sweetest thing I've seen on live TV. They are so great together.

Re: spoilers everywhere, obviously

(Anonymous) 2016-08-01 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it was a rough time there for me for a while, 'cause all my favorite late night/comedy people (Stephen, Craig Ferguson, Jon, and then eventually Joel McHale) were ending their shows and I was like, 'WHY ARE YOU ALL LEAVING :(?!" At least Stephen and Craig got new gigs fairly soon after, though, and I still see Jon and Joel pop up on TV every now and again, so yay for that.

I adore it when Stephen sings. I'm so glad he still does that from time to time on "The Late Show".

I think that bit in Jon's final show where Stephen praises Jon and makes Jon cry then the hug is about the sweetest thing I've seen on live TV.

YES :D. That was absolutely lovely. I love how Stephen always knows how to make Jon smile (and laugh). Their friendship warms my friggin' heart.

Stephen getting another show made me feel so much better about his show ending, and the fact that Jon is involved in it makes me so happy. The power couple is still together!

That Crystal Reed one got to me. Out of all the actors that have been on TW she's definitely my favorite. She's always did seem very sweet and appreciative. I really wish she would have more success as an actor.
elaminator: (Teen Wolf: Allison Argent (shh))

Re: spoilers everywhere, obviously

[personal profile] elaminator 2016-08-02 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Crystal Reed was a treasure. I hope her career takes off too because like you said, she deserves it; she was one of my favorite actors on the show, and seeing how emotional she got about Allison's exit really moved me. (Especially how insistent she was about what Allison would do/say in her final scene.)

I still think it's bullshit she died, but... You know, nothing to be done about that. At least she got to come back to TW as another character, but I'd stopped watching by then.

Re: The Hobbit
I personally wasn't even that sad about the whole thing until the ending song. Because damn, both the lyrics and the fact that it was Billy Boyd singing it killed me. Because not only was it a very pretty song and very fitting for the movie, it also was a perfect song to end all the Tolkien movies with. And I didn't even really like the way they handled a lot about the Hobbit movies, but it still had this sad, melancholic end of an era feel to it and... bwah. (Sorry for rambling haha.)
elaminator: (The Hobbit: Thorin/Bilbo - hug)

Re: spoilers everywhere, obviously

[personal profile] elaminator 2016-08-02 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
No, I totally get your rambling!

I understand the “end of an era" feel because I was definitely more sad once the movies had ended, knowing there wouldn't be anymore live action Tolkien. And, yea, The Hobbit films did A LOT of things wrong, but that didn't stop me from feeling disappointed that the ride was over, and that PJ and company wouldn't have a chance to “do a better job next time”.

Hearing Billy's voice got me all choked up too, and really brought me back to the start. It was a smart decision on their parts to include him, and such a gorgeous song!

(However, I was sobbing during Thorin's death because I'm a sap, and I adored the tragic romance of Thorin and Bilbo. That relationship was one of the things I thought the films did right.)

Re: spoilers everywhere, obviously

His death was a sad scene but I think the main reason I didn't feel it was the company I was with - a friend and her younger sister (of whom the latter never. shuts. up. during movies. It kills and mood.).

Re: spoilers everywhere, obviously

Oh, I absolutely understand that. I've had movie moments ruined for me by interruptions too. If you can't focus, how are you supposed to care?

Re: spoilers everywhere, obviously

[personal profile] fishnchips 2016-08-03 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I think one or the other quiet comments once in a while are alright but people who keep a running commentary going (especially if they think they are just so damn witty and funny) suck big time. Especially if you consider the price of cinema tickets atm. I didn't pay all that money to get a bad live MST3K performance damn it.
