But it's true. I loooooooooove sweets. Far more than I should.

If I absolutely had to choose just one kind for the rest of my life, though, it would be cookies. Cake is second. And I have plenty of both always stocked in my pantry (well, the cakes are mixes, but you get the idea...).

I liked a lot of the smaller fight scenes in the movie but the Big airport scene just bored me to be honest, like it dragged for me and I mostly just wanted it to be over the longer it went on. (Though I don't think it was helped by the fact that my patience levels had already been drained by the 15 min Spiderman origin shoved into an already busy movie).

But I'm also someone who wanted less Avengers in my Cap movie so my feelings towards Civil War are iffy(I really need to rewatch it so I can figure out if I do like it because there are definitely things I enjoyed in it: T'Challa being the main thing).

There is no "real women do [x]" going on here; Alicia Keys is making a personal choice and being lambasted for it because it goes against society's expectations of women.

Alicia Keys- after she had her nose job- looks naturally beautiful. She can get away without wearing any makeup! If a homely woman did that in Hollywood she would: 1) get a LOT of shit for her decision, or 2) no one would give a shit because she wasn't pretty to begin with.

Hate to love: Lapis Lazuli. I mean, yeah, she's been through a lot of shit but it doesn't excuse the way she used Jasper as her Punching Bag--not that Jasper's any better but dude.

I understand where you are coming from. I went to get care for what I thought was a UTI (peeing all the time and odd/infectious smelling pee), and all they did was check for a UTI and say it wasn't it instead of exploring the symptoms. Turns out they are the symptoms of kidney stones as well. Apparently I passed a smaller one then, as the pain wasn't horrible, but a couple of years later I had a bad one (that I didn't get treated, because at that point I had no health insurance), and a couple of years after that I had one so bad I was hospitalized twice and had two surgeries. If they had explored everything years before when it was milder, I wouldn't have had those later experiences, and I'm still resentful about that.

I hope you feel better and that your health care problems get resolved.

Did you even read the article linked? She isn't "getting away with it" she's being attacked for it. It doesn't matter how "naturally beautiful" she is; as a woman she is expected to cover her face to conform to the unreasonable, unrealistic, unnatural standard of perfection that ALL women are expected to conform to.
