Yup, your issue is my issue: Spiderman was completely shoe-horned in and out of place and the characters I wanted to see get some fleshed out interactions didn't get it and it felt almost... empty in places because of that.

It's definitely Avengers 3 in my head and I think what bugs me more is that there was a lot of 'don't worry it's still a Cap movie' from Marvel and well, that wasn't true so it's made me somewhat bitter about the whole thing. Yeah TWS allowed for some really nice intimate character building scenes and CW just didn't allow for that because it was so rammed full.

Ha see, do I get excited for Black Panther or quash it all because what if it's shit? (Though since it's his first movie he should get a lot of breathing room, it's the 2nd and 3rd installments I've got to worry about on that front). But yeah I really enjoyed him and it's because he got an actual arc in the movie, my Cap faves just kind of meandered around for 2 hours imo. :/

It's not annoying and if talking about it here helps, that's a good thing. I don't really know what to say other than that but I'm sorry everything is so awful and I hope it gets better.

Ahhh, well that explains it then.

That's even more of a shame to me because it's not that it's even doing bad, just not as well as they wanted it to. Bah, business man.

ayrt

You're right, T'Challa's story/characterisation had a beginning, middle, and end, but all the other characters just argued and punched each other the whole movie.

Also, I really love your Isabelle icon :D

Civil War was very much his introduction movie and I am def glad that they did a decent job with it but man, couldn't my Cap squad have gotten some of that as well? (I feel like they tried then it floundered and sputtered out into face-punching about halfway through).

Why thank you. :D

(She's just very pretty in general, my gosh).

And Peggy would've had the man's bells in a sling in no time.

Go talk to people at /r/SuicideWatch on Reddit, not even kidding. Those guys have helped me through a lot. There's always going to be someone there that wants to hear from you, wants to let you vent off everything that's wrong, and you can be 100% assured that no one's going to call the police on you. It's incredibly reassuring.

I hate sweet drinks, and I can usually take or leave cakes or pastries. But a loaf of bread isn't safe if there's butter in the fridge and I'm in the house.

She really is! And also my second favourite character on Shadowhunters (Raphael being my first). Everyone on that show is unbelievably pretty :P

It's a TV show full of unfathomably attractive people, like what the hell, how did you manage this??

(Magnus is my fave with Alec or Isabelle as my 2nd fave, it's hard to choose sometimes because I mostly like them all).

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
I read "seen interesting things about the show" to mean that they hadn't watched it, they were just reacting to what they'd seen/read online?

Which (especially if it came from Tumblr) could be anywhere from slightly wrong to missing the point completely.

God knows there are things that Tumblr has scared me away from!

I loved Cold Case.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
It's the kind of mustache my father has had all my life. Instantly kills my lady-boner. Should Orlando Bloom come begging for my sexual favors, he will have to shave.

Re: Are your parents still alive?

Yup, and one grandmother. She's 103.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Now THAT's how you make a "Supernatural sucks" comment!

(And I like the show.)

You just need a special mattress with a recess in the middle to lay him in and then OP can roll back and forth atop him with abandon.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't be so rude as to tell him how to define himself.

But would I think he is actually bisexual? Hell yes.

I'm glad you took my concrit to heart, Supernatural Sucks Anon. This is a much better effort than before.

Re: Weird stereotypes you've heard

I got called one because... I can only guess, but I think it was because I was wearing a tank top and had my hair up in a bun? (It was a really hot day.) I think she was drunk and possibly the guy she was with was checking me out and she felt mad and insecure.

Re: I think I need a new doctor

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Did you bring up the fact that you'd reported those symptoms to her earlier?

Yeah, you should probably start seeing someone else.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Of course they aren't. But when a perfectly reasonable comment is answered with an over the top accusation of "baaaaaaw" and accusations of butthurt when there is no butthurt in evidence, I assume that the anon is either 1) a troll or 2) has extremely poor reading comprehension and sub par intelligence. Since the comment didn't seem that poorly written, I went with door number one. And your rather milquetoast attempt at being condescending only confirms that I was correct in doing so.

IIRC, in this scene Atwell's character was being threatened because her brother was being held hostage by an armed man who'd just killed their servant and they'd just cut off a piece of her brother's ear. She had two choices: lie still and be raped or her brother would lose the rest of his ear-- or worse.

Maybe Peggy could've gotten out of that, but I don't think it would've been very easy.
