I'm guessing they just like to call it traumatic in order to shame others for liking it or because they feel having some justification makes their opinions more valid.
I just don't get how someone else shipping something (and finding enjoyment in it) effects them in any way. If something 'triggers' them then just... don't indulge in it. The back button or tab close is your best friend.
