Ugh, people throw words about trauma around like it's candy.

People think because they don't like something that it's a 'trigger' for them when it's simply just something they don't like. I'm guessing they just like to call it traumatic in order to shame others for liking it or because they feel having some justification makes their opinions more valid.

I just don't get how someone else shipping something (and finding enjoyment in it) effects them in any way. If something 'triggers' them then just... don't indulge in it. The back button or tab close is your best friend.

well here's the thing: if you ask people to warn for squicks they can refuse and tell you to just unfollow. if they refuse trigger warning they're the scum of the earth and free to be harassed because WOW, what if someone just stumbles on their content and gets triggered?

you make warnings a moral choice instead of a personal one. bingo.
