I'm bad at cooking eggs. I mess up omelettes and scrambled eggs all the time (so I just never makes those), and I can make alright fried eggs but I tend to break the yolks a lot or have a hard time flipping them

Nonstick pan, a little oil/butter and a thin spatula, anon.

Whenever I make omelettes or scrambled eggs, I'll do the following:

1. Crack the eggs in a bowl, add a touch of salt and pepper, whisk them until the eggs are a single color.
2. Turn the stove on to medium-ish heat, place the pan on the stove and add enough oil so it covers the bottom of the pan, let it heat up.
3. Pour the eggs onto the pan. Here's where there's a difference!

-If it's scrambled eggs, use a spatula and just move them around the pan. They still cook alright while you're doing this. When you notice the eggs aren't runny and keep their solid shape, turn off the heat. Make sure they are thoroughly cooked; if not, cook them just a bit longer on the pan or microwave them a few (6-7) seconds. It's very rare that they don't fully cook the first time through, though.

-If it's an omelette, let the eggs sit for about 20-30 seconds (time varies on how big the omelette/pan is; you just kind of have to estimate). Use a spatula and attempt to flip it over. If it stays in one piece, great! You can keep cooking it, adding the filling and folding it over when you think it's just about done. If not, turn it into scrambled eggs, because it's kind of a hassle to fix a broken omelette; just add the filling onto the top of it when you're done and eat it that way.

I'm a p. mediocre cook, but I just thought I'd give some advice. You've probably already done all this, really! I actually think fried eggs are more difficult to make.

Cooking bacon. I burn it or don't cook it enough, I have no idea what setting I should be using on the stove because all of them mean I burn it or don't cook it. I am banned from cooking bacon in my family.

I'm a vegetarian, but I thought you could bake bacon in the oven; I've seen directions in cookbooks for cooking bacon for a crowd or avoiding getting bacon grease everywhere. Maybe try that?

It depends on what kind of pan you're using, but it sounds like you're either turning up the heat too much or not cooking it long enough. I don't mean to be harsh here, but... are you actually paying attention to what you're doing and adjusting as you go? It doesn't sound like it. Unless your bacon is burning upon contact, it means you're standing there watching it overcook and not doing anything about it.

Cleaning.

I'm a hoarder and a slob, but once I get going I can clean okay, if a bit slowly. Staying tidy, on the other hand... sigh. And it's not just my surroundings. I'm like Pigpen from Charlie Brown. I can step out of the shower, put on clean, freshly-ironed clothes, and look like I've been sleeping in the bushes for weeks an hour later.

Initiating social activities with people I don't know well, which is probably why I have such a hard time making new friends.

Mashed potato. Cooking potatoes in general, which is annoying because I like making Shepard's pie and I want to make a fish pie one day too, but there's a good chance that I'll fuck up the cooking of the potato. :|

I am terrible at using a knife and fork together.

Parallel parking. Can't do it.

For me, that's one of those things I have to do a ton to get good at and then I lose it so so quickly once I stop after a few weeks.

Loading a dishwasher compactly

Walking without walking into something, tripping, etc.

I sport so many bruises on a regular basis that it's sad.

I manage to trip over nothing way too often.

Pretty much anything athletic.

Dealing with others in a public environment.

If someone stops me to have a conversation or something, it's not unusual for me to just walk away when there's a pause.

According to an aptitude test, I'm 0th percentile in my ability to redraw an abstract picture from memory. They can't even properly measure how bad I am at it.

Cooking any meat product. I always end up burning it.

Using cling wrap. I can't for the life of me figure it out. It always goes wonky, even that shitty press-n-seal stuff.

I'm the only one I know who can fuck up a batch of cookies.

It's weird, because cake, pie, cheesecake, brownies I can do just fine.

Walking without tripping over my (ginormous) feet. I suck at it. I suck at it badly. I'm the master of "trip over my own two feet"
