General comments:

Two questions! Answer whichever you prefer (or both).

1. If you were somehow able to meet your favourite character or characters in THEIR world for a day, what would you ask or tell them or do with them? Assume they aren't under any obligation to listen.

2. If you could bring your favourite character or characters to OUR world for a day, what would you ask or do with them? Again, they don't have to listen and aren't being compelled to like you automatically or anything.

1. Well, considering who my favorite character is, I'd stay the hell away from him. He may be pretty, and he may be interesting, but Sauron is not someone you want to be anywhere near. Celebrimbor, my second favorite, though, would be great to meat. I'd tell him to stop being an idiot, that Annatar is Sauron, and that he really doesn't want to help him make rings.

2. Our world is a different story. Sauron would still be evil, but in a world without magic of any sort, he'd have a lot less to work with. I'd probably still avoid him, but I might ask him some questions about himself, about his relationship with Melkor and Celebrimbor, and about how his worldview has changed over time. For Celebrimbor, I'd just wrap him up with blankets and hide him and keep him safe.

I'd ask in their world: Why the furry loin cloths on everyone?

Bringing him to this world, I guess it would be "does it bother you that essentially the super villains win here?" probably also "you notice nobody wears furry loin clothes here?"

1. Gibbs -- I'd want to be able to tour NCIS, even if I can't go to some of the areas due to lack of a security clearance. Kind of like some student being guided. Then again the NCIS world isn't too different from our own and this would be either or.

2. Stardroid Jupiter -- I'd want him to take me flying on HIS world's Earth--that is to say Mega Man's Earth in 20XX. Or if he were in this world it'd be like "hey, wanna fly to (insert fast food place) and try your first earth food?"

3. TFArmada Side Swipe -- Either way I'd wanna go for a ride in his vehicle mode and find out what he finds fun and just DO THE THING.

4. Bardock -- "Hey bruh can I go on a mission after you teach me to fire off energy blasts?" That'd be me in his world. Him in THIS world? "HEY, NEW SAIYAN BUDDY, WANNA GO TO GOLDEN CORRAL AND EAT THE WHOLE FUCKING BUFFET, THEN GO AND GET LIKE A DOZEN SAMMICHES AT SUBWAY?"

Steve Rogers for the same one.

1. I'd make finger point guns at him and go, "Ehhhh, you are pretty awesome. Also, have super longevity so don't stress out about Bucky being in cryo for a couple years."

2. "So, let me tell you about 2016." Then I would tell him. "So, can I get a hug. Or can you punch some people in the face for me?"

I'm pretty sure the answer in both cases is be drunk and tell sad stories of our past a how dying sucks. However, for the less depressing answer.

1. In their world, I guess I'd ask them if we could go on an adventure together (I might get killed, but oh well.)

2. My world: probably just buy him pancakes. Cause lord knows he deserves some.

I... I'm not sure I would even really get along with them, or have anything to talk to them about. I'm a chatty sort of person, and I like talking about Issues and stuff and analyzing things. I just don't think that a lot of my faves would be interested in those types of conversations.

I'd probably just ask them to show me around. I guess Edward Elric would be the closest match, since he's also a studying-type. We could hang out in a museum or something.

I honestly feel this one is hard to answer, because all my favourite characters are people who would be too busy for some normal like me, especially in their own world, where they might be busy trying to fight a war or save their stolen soul.

In my world? They might be able to accept me as a guide, since most of them are from fantasy pseudo-medieval settings. Although Sarevok would have no patience and end up being shot by police for public violence.

And that's just talking about canon characters. OCs are totally off the shelf because I can imagine that I'd get on with them better.

Not to be contrary, but am I the only one who just...doesn't want to interact with the characters I like at all, and would actually avoid contact with them?

I mean, more to the point, I just don't even like thinking of them as existing on the same plane of existence as I do, so the idea of being able to talk to them is kind of inherently off-putting to me.

But even if we did share a plane of existence, I generally wouldn't want to interact with the characters I love in a way that would influence them, because that would make their story less theirs and more...muddied up by me, kind of?

Although, I suppose there must be exceptions - times where the outcome is so tragic that if I were able to say something to help them make it turn out differently, I'd have to try. Like, I don't actually watch Torchwood, but I feel like both Ianto dying and all those children dying are horrible enough outcomes that I would want to try to help the characters have a better outcome there.
