Got a goofy boss? Tell us something lolzy s/he does!

Mine (I work in a grocery store produce department) always, ALWAYS sings "This is the dawning of the age of asparagus" whenever we get a shipment of asparagus. He also says "Orange you glad I didn't say kumquat???" while holding up one of each.

Not my current boss, but a couple summers ago I worked in an administrative office for a nursing school. It was a tiny office--really just the program director, this lady, and me. She was in her late forties, had a Hello Kitty obsession, dressed in flip-flops and very brightly colored dresses every day, and would sometimes stand in her doorway meowing to herself.

It was a short job. I did not try to come back next summer.

I hesitate to say "boss", but a supervisor of mine used to play off some of the more profoundly intellectually disabled people in one of the care homes in sort of a sweet way.

One of the younger guys living there (I'll call him Dave, which isn't his real name) was fairly ...hyper-emotional, if that makes sense. He'd cry if you told him you were leaving, he'd get extremely invested in his caretakers, he'd get incredibly frustrated at small inconveniences. Basically the same as a toddler, only in a 56 year old man. This also meant it was incredibly easy to make him laugh, and he found really inane things very hilarious. So the second we got into work, we'd see Dave and he'd very excitedly tell us it was Friday. Then on cue, she'd say, "That's right, you can get it all day!"

This would send him into fits of flailing laughter. And the entire rest of the day whenever we saw him we'd only have to say "Hey Dave, it's Friday and you can get it all day!" to set him off.

Maybe it's a 'you had to be there' story, but it was hilarious at the time.

When I was a teenager, I used to work at a restaurant. One of my supervisors wanted us to nickname him "God". His sister worked there as well, telling us she had seen God in his underwear.

Honestly? I'd have as many programmes as I could afford that were just replicas of places I want to visit, with absolutely no people in them, and I'd have like an hour a day of just lying in the sunshine or exploring beautiful mountains or swimming in endless seas. It'd likely bore the pants off anyone watching.

It would basically be an RPG and I would be the hero of everything and be able to fly and do magic.

I mean it might end up one of those "cure the person from their addiction because they no longer leave the holodeck" type things, lol.

I'd be that person that never leaves their holodeck.

I'd move to Skyrim, permanently. Maybe I'd take vacations to other game universes. I'd have a VR husbando and we'd go on adventures together. I'd probably find other perma-VR people like me and we'd get together and chat about our holodeck modding adventures, just like we do now.

I'd start building my fantasy world, the Nightlands, complete with chaos-causing Greater Moon, various Elven races with political rivalries, faery circles and gateways to Fae pocket dimensions, and surprise sex pollen glades. Most of that would just be background though, since I'd actually be living in a mountain vale ruled by a NPC who is based on a Silmaril.

I'd totally be doing a self-insert into some of my favorite fictions and be using it for "VR gaming".

The former wouldn't always make for great TV viewing unless it worked organically into the series.

The latterrobably wouldn't be an epic TV show episode but Youtube, Twitch, and the like would love it. Especially when I'm screaming "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK" after epically failing on a part of a Mega Man stage in VR on my holodeck.
