A few months ago I started writing a fanfic for my then roommate.
It wasn't what I usually write, and its for a fandom I'm not as much in, but it was fun. However I didn't finish it before I moved, at the end of our lease, to a cheaper place. It wasn't far away, in fact it was just a couple blocks away.

When I moved said roommate stopped talking to me entirely.

I've figurd out now that she didn't consider me a friend the way I did her. And that's fine. I mean, I'm coming to terms with it. I know lots of roommates aren't friends, but it sucks thinking someone likes you more than they do. But, its been a few months, and I'm feeling
better about it. (She also got a new boyfriend recently and I guess stopped talking to a lot of her friends, so at least it isn't just me.)

But I don't know what to do about the fanfic.
I still like it, and kinda want to finish and post it, but it also feels weird to do so considering she isn't talking to me anymore.

Its not something I would come up with on my own. It would feel wrong not to credit her with the idea,but it feels just as weird to drop a fic for someone who ignores your texts.

I see we're going to pretend captivity like that isn't inherently abusive. And forget that the only reason Belle tried to leave was because Beast frightened the hell out of her, and that she thanks him for "saving" her from a situation she admits he put her in. Or that the ~gift of the library was after he said she could have full range of the castle, making it not a gift at all, or the fact that the dinner and dance were specifically orchestrated to get her, a captive, to see Beast romantically, or that Belle blames herself and wanting to leave to see her father, who was in trouble for people coming after Beast because he captured someone, or that she tries to tell people that he wouldn't hurt anyone, even though her father is very clearly hurt by the experience, or that the servants continuously tell her to be ~open-minded about Beast literal violent rages or that Belle still asks to leave when she wants to see her father, and is fucking grateful that Beast ~lets her.

But yeah, she yells at him, so it's okay.

I came into this fandom very late and have consumed pretty much all the fic, and I'm so disappointed that there's less of it being created. I have some ideas, but I don't know if anyone cares anymore :(

I'm also disappointed in how canon handled the characters and the relationship. It could have been amazing. At least there is some kick-ass fanfic out there.

I crave watching Sterek on screen, but fanon Sterek is so much better and there's ultimately so little of it in canon.
