People here hate kids and it's nasty

Time out for you.

Re: Complaints desk

(Anonymous) 2016-12-13 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)

nayrt:

i'm reading this in the same tone of voice as that honey badger video. "so nasty!"

Re: Complaints desk

And there went your pad rights too. Off to bed and no excuses.

Re: Complaints desk

nasty

Re: Complaints desk

(Anonymous) 2016-12-14 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
Why? This is like central control for unpopular opinions. And there's nothing inherently wrong with not liking kids.

Re: Complaints desk

(Anonymous) 2016-12-14 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
nope but people here are nasty about it

Re: Complaints desk

(Anonymous) 2016-12-14 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Eh, it's easier to be nastier/crueller about things in a space like this where there are no consequences. It doesn't make them bad people for having a space where they can vent.

I would genuinely rather tear out my own uterus with my bare hands than have a kid, so...guilty as charged! I'm good at keeping it quiet, though.

I have never seen anyone else say this before but it's almost word for word what I say about the hideous notion of pregnancy. childfree high five!

Are they hating them in a nasty way? I dislike kids but mostly this manifests in m avoiding them, not being nasty to them.

Re: Complaints desk

(Anonymous) 2016-12-14 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
I've never seen anything like that. There are some parents who are regulars, and I've shared about my son and people have never been nasty. Is this a very recent thing, like in the last week or two? Last week was the first time in about 6 months that I didn't check FS every day.

I dint hate kids! I just don't want one. I was on child free comm for awhile but left because the attitudes to both women and children were incredibly disgusting so I struggled to give a shit about those users.

Re: Complaints desk

(Anonymous) 2016-12-14 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah if anon wants to see people be really NASTY about kids they should visit a childfree community, because those places are horrible.

It makes me sad as well because I like the idea of connecting with other people who don't want children, but that's not what those communities are.

Re: Complaints desk

(Anonymous) 2016-12-14 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Where? I have seen some decidedly nasty ChildFree posts in my day (calling kids crotch droppings, calling mothers breeding cows, talking about how disgusting kids are in such detail it makes me really uncomfortable, etc etc) and I haven't seen anything here recently that stands up to it. I don't look at every thread though, and haven't been on much the past few days cause busy.

Re: Complaints desk

(Anonymous) 2016-12-14 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
This is about the "my friend is gonna leave her newborn with her mom while she finishes her minor" (and you don't agree with me so y'all must obviously hate kids) wank thread, isn't it? Not agreeing with you that new moms' first priority must be BONDING WITH THE NEWBORN and if she doesn't she's borderline abusive and will regret it forever =/= hating kids.

Re: Complaints desk

(Anonymous) 2016-12-14 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
In all honesty, that thread started to frustrate me as well. I almost wish I had made a throwaway username for that, because people started attributing much more to me then I actually said (due to multiple anons.) :/

Re: Complaints desk

(Anonymous) 2016-12-14 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. I am child-free and might be considered a 'kid-hater' in my more extreme moments, but my stance in that thread was along the same line as the pro-bonding people. I don't want kids but if I did have one, I do think that should be a priority.

Re: Complaints desk

(Anonymous) 2016-12-14 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a mother who bonded big time (the whole attachment deal) and I also happen to know a lot of people who went back to work etc. right after having a child because it made more sense in their respective lives at that point. Plus, babies mostly don't care whether their birth mother cares for them or someone else, and the strongest emotional attachment happens when they're about 8-14 months, not at the newborn stage.
I'm also totally for everyone breastfeeding (almost 3 years, in my case) but, like I said, sometimes it makes more sense in peoples' lives the other way. Babies are different. Lives are different. There's no "the one way", and finishing college is something that will probably benefit the child long term so it's a viable option.

More like mildly distasteful. But true.

Re: Complaints desk

(Anonymous) 2016-12-14 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
I cam up with a good comparison for me and kids. To me they're like mice: They're cute and I'll look after one if I'm asked, but I don't want the effort of raising one myself and I don't want strange ones in my house.

I've been accused of that, but only because the little sprog had no concept of personal space and his mother gave zero fucks about teaching it to him. I am not your personal teddy bear.

I sometimes agree

but I'm one of those ones who hate bad parents lol
