I gotta say, 38, I totally agree. I love the girls in this series SO MUCH. I actually ship more het stuff in AA than any slash. I wish I didn't suck so much at finding AA4 het fics...

7: Fanfic allowed me to develop my writing skills, learn about proper character development, grammar, etc. Now I'm nearly finished with my second novel. It's good stuff, really... the gateway drug to writing, if you will.

Sweet mother of all that scared the hell out of me, that movie, that is it. I mean, I watched Aliens repeatedly since I was four. Four. Love it. Never had an ill nocturnal thought of it. Still my favorite movie of all time.

Gremlins, though... good god. Nightmares for a year and lingering willies, I sear. I think it was the fact that that was the first movie I was exposed to with monsters that were toy-sized and toy-resembling that could eat your damn throat out if you were careless. Even falling in love with Petshop of Horrors years later and getting the connection didn't completely cure me. Gah. Fucking Gremlins.

Me too. I loved JT (and Toby!) so much, I hated how it all ended for him. I haven't really watched it since he died just because I don't like many of the new characters or how the old characters have developed. The only one I can really stand anymore is Emma, and even she's pushing it.

22: Amen to that. As a person who played classical piano my whole bloody life and was, quite frankly, very good at it, this series is a huge inspiration. I quit because I was an angsty teenager (about 10 years ago) who wanted to be like all the normal kids and didn't want to practice for 4 hours per day and keep up with a social life and school work, but Nodame Cantabile has inspired me to get back to it. It has really made me look at my love of classical music and made me think a lot about why I stopped. I'm not as good as I used to be, but I think I love it more now than I did then, because I'm old enough to appreciate it. I totally have that series to thank for getting me back on that track.

37: Late comment is late and I haven't gone and read any of the other comments on this secret, but whatever, I've got things to say.

I beta that Mun's fics, and she's probably one of the most approachable people in the PW fandom in general, and one of my best friends in the PW fandom. The thing is, she's an adult and has a life outside of RPing and whatever else us younger folks do (although for PW I'm kind've an old fart as well). Why don't you just give it a shot? Send her an IM and I'm sure she'd be happy to do something with you. I know that M tends to have a bit of an aversion to crack, because her character doesn't really lend itself particularly well to that, but she's open to just about anything. You'll never know if you don't try.

Did I mention that I'm a bit tipsy? Afternoon drinks are so fun :D

21 - Kind of agree, but for some reason I think the ending will be really epic. I want S1 ending to be repeated actually D: and then a movie.

48 - I would read anything with Luluko in it, no exceptions.

52 - These things take time. The fact that they're touching on the issue alone is very interesting, I just want to see how far they'll take it.

7. Because not all of us are horrible writers?

Good fanfiction often comes out of a desire to pay tribute to material we love. Just because there are a lot of not-stellar writers doesn't mean the whole thing's a lost cause. But I imagine everyone and their dog has already said this by now.

23. Communism would be a great idea if people didn't keep screwing it up. I'm not convinced it's possible to do it right, but in theory, it's awesome.

36. I think his popularity stems more from his (AWESOME) air guitar animation than his looks. But yeah, I feel about him the same way I feel about Iris--pretty but boring, with family issues that just felt tacked on.

38. I respectfully disagree on the Female Characters > Male Characters point. One of the things I loved about the games was how gender neutral it was on the character front--they weren't just male characters and female characters, they were characters. They all lived and breathed personality. I really can't choose one gender over the other.

More fanworks for them would be excellent though, that I agree with. These games churned out some of my favorite female characters in fiction.

21. I didn't like the ending until r2 started. And now the similarities between the start of the show and the start of the second season are making me wish that had been the end of the whole thing. T___T

22. AAAAH NODAME CANTABILE! The live action version is my favorite show ever. I very much recommend it. I'M SO GLAD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT IT.
