Weekend (New Years!)Plans

What will everyone be doing this holiday weekend?

My birthday is Sunday so I think we are doing something on Saturday. I just want to play board games because I am boring like that. Hopefully everyone who is sort of sick won't be any worse by then (like three different bugs are going around). Other than that, I won't be celebrating the holiday much.

I think I'm going to do a year-end writing push. If I can end 2016 with 40,000 words in my novel, I will be a happy camper. I'm at a little over 36,000 right now, so it's definitely doable.

Preparing to get on a plane, getting on a plane at mumble-mumble a.m. New Year's Day, being on a plane for a while, getting off that plane and on to a new plane, being on the new plane, getting off the new plane, picking up my car, driving to hotel, groceries, getting ready for work on Monday.

Tomorrow we'll do Chinese food for dinner and then hummus and crackers at midnightish. We'll probably watch something, but not sure what yet. Or maybe we'll play Scrabble. Certainly we'll get out the alcohol.

I will have to do some studying this weekend. But hopefully not too much.

I brought some dvds and cds back with me from storage, so I'm working on ripping the cds to my computer so I can put them on my ipod. So I'll spend some time doing that. And if my books that I got for Christmas have come, I will start reading the Rogue One prequel novel.

No idea, was gonna see my (ex?)boyfriend tonight, but he got a job that involves him moving to the other side of the country in about a month for a couple of years and wants to just be friends because of this and I was hang out with my friend tomorrow but she's sick. My brother and his family are going to a party or whatever at his coworker's (I've met him and his wife before) and I'm unsure about going. I just wanna curl into a ball and cry in all honesty.

Chilling at home with family, watching TV and ordering a pizza New Year's Eve night. My sister and my brother-in-law might pop over at some point this weekend, too. Just a good weekend to relax :).

I want to pluck up the courage to ask friends in another county if they'll have me for a few days. I've been feeling a little isolated and lonely lately, since I have no close friends in my own town :c I'm not sure if it's possible with New Year's (= expensive tickets) and exam month starting up soon though.

If you can find affordable tickets, I'd say ask! The worst that can happen is they say no. But you won't know unless you ask. :D

I'm staying in on NYE, same way I have for years now. I'm ordering in, sth I usually don't do, and I've stocked up on lots of other treats. The rest of the night will be dedicated to getting ready for NY's day, because for some reason that's when my family gets together every year. And they're far away (at least, to local standards, for Americans it's probably nothing). I usually don't get back until pretty late, but this year I have to get back to my internship on Monday, so I'm leaving early.

Staying in alone, most likely. There's no fucking way I want to go anywhere near the city. It's going to be even more of a mess than usual.

I want to do something at least remotely fun but I have no idea what that could even be.

I'm going to get hella drunk and watch anime with my friends. We as a group suffered personal loss this year, so we're going to stay up drunk to watch 2016 die.

NYE party with a lot of extended families. Quiet party with a buffet dinner (I'm making rice pilaf), usually there's some Dance Central or Brawl being played in the garage, and maybe a card-based game or quick board game. I just got Bards Dispense Profanity (verily, the Shakespeare-themed CAH clone it sounds like) for Chanukah, so I hope we get to play that some.

I also have holiday mint brownies as a gift for my friends, and bday gifts for my 2 December birthday friends. I got them oven mitts with nerdy prints- one Legend of Zelda, one classic Mario.

Happy early birthday~! My mom's birthday is on the first, so we'll be throwing her a small party. My sisters and I got her this awesome floral arrangment and these shoes she's been wanting. I can't wait to see her face when she gets her gifts!

Well today is NYE. I have walked dogs, cleaned. Tossing up playing Dishonored 2, Far Cry 3 or Niche. Leaning to D2.

Also should eat something. I have this pasta salad and it is disgusting but i hate food waste. how to make it taste better? Who puts salad mayo on pasta wtf.

Tomorrow for New Years Day going to take dogs to watch sunrise then I'm going to go meet my future puppy's mum (if she's up to it). Then more cleaning, getting ready to go back to work etc

Going to visit some friends, have some food, maybe play some board games. So all very chill and relaxed while we usher in the new year. Sunday will be spent lounging around and recovering from any alchohol imbued.
