I'm laughing because two of the friends I have who have read this have received anon hate telling them how terrible they are for reading this, one even got an invasive "you're probably getting off to it too lmao" (lol we laughed about that on the group chat, I don't think anyone could get off to that).

I also read it because of a previous anon's secret saying sangwoo was their fit-spiration. However I can see where you're coming from, but like you say though the art itself is amazing and I'm eager to know how the levi-looking guy escapes (I forgot his name lol). I think i would find it more appealing if it was a GL, purely for the fact I don't think there's been any erotic/horror-type of GL webcomic, and it would be something fresher and new.

not OP but the art is amazing and it's apparently the author's first comic, which astounds me because it's so detailed, consistent, and gorgeous.

I agree with the idea of a GL version of this! Though, I feel like a female version of Sangwoo would come across... more exploitative, rather than fresh? I find it funny how often Sangwoo has his shirt off and is drawn in sexy poses, but I think I would be annoyed if it were a female character, it'd feel too dominatrix-ey. other than that though, yes please to lesbian horror.

SA

Yay, aother who is all for lesbian horror!

Is it really the authors first comic? I'm blown away by that fact! It also inspires me to make my own (after maybe 10 years of practicing in a basement just like sangwoo)

Call me sleazy but the idea of all of that but female is exactly what makes it so appealing to me, hahahaha, but female sangwoo can be wearing a sports bra or something when appropriate, hahahaha. What would you want to change about it if it was a female?

(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
lmao dreams are made in basements. go, anon, may you be as free to do what you love as sangwoo

Ahaha well I'm a lesbian irl so I definitely don't have any aesthetic issue with a sexy female!Sangwoo, I just meant dominatrix sadist porn isn't like a totally new thing and it'd be too easy for it to get shoved into that category rather than be a proper horror (or even horror erotica). Maybe if she were drawn just as fit and muscled as he is now, and didn't have balloon boobs? A sports bra/shorts rather than bikini undergarments would help, too. I love a genuinely terrifying female character, and I don't mind her being beautiful or sexy per se, it just seems like most of the time in media they are sexy first and horrifying second, and I'd have to see that equation flipped.

I'm kind of more interested in seeing the female version of Yoonbum, a scrawny, greasy creep-girl who breaks into female!Sangwoo's house to masturbate on her futon, and then accidentally finds a dude tied up in her basement.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
different gay anon: I'm into this concept as well; I think it can definitely be done in a sexy way, especially if it's in the female gaze and not the male gaze. What you're referring to has its place, like, I'm not going to say no to a scary woman in sexy lingerie or smth, but if a woman did a GL comic like this and made female!Sangwoo more "practically" sexy...? Hell yeah.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
ayrt

Oh, agreed. If it didn't feel like straight male fap fodder I'd be down for it, and it'd probably need a female author. I would just want to see a female!Sangwoo that's still physically strong and looks it (rather than having a ten inch waist, enormous jiggly breasts and pencil-thin arms). Like, I'd need those muscles as emphasized as they are now. She would have to still be pretty, if it were a true genderswap she'd still have to be considered normal and popular with her peers, but I would need her to come across as a serious threat who can beat the shit out of her victims. Plus, muscley, physically strong women are totally my thing, so this is working for me on multiple levels...

(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
In regards to "I don't think anyone could get off to that"... I have a friend who constantly talks about how hot the Sangwoo is as well as more, erm, explicit things. So some people apparently do

(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
like I mean, I'd wank off to Sangwoo but at least I'd be ashamed about it

(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
You don't think people are getting off to this? Women are OBVIOUSLY reading this bc it's two guys. There's het stuff similar to this that no one reads. It's trashy yaoi with good art at the end of the day, and people who can't admit that are sort of pathetic. It's like the people who played DMMD and insisted they weren't fujos lol.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 02:54 am (UTC)(link)

either you haven't actually read Killing Stalking, or you haven't actually read trashy yaoi. lmao

it's fine if fujoshis read Killing Stalking with a hand down their pants, but any respectable trashy yaoi has a lot more actual sexual content. also, cuter ukes.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
I've skimmed KS, and I've read trashy yaoi. I mean, if you want to remain in denial about what you're reading, be my guest lol.

It's obvious what the author is doing this. She's attempting to give some semblance of a storyline (albeit a bad and not very well-written one, like honestly anyone could come up with this shit) in order to titillate the fujos even more bc then they can use their ~imaginations~. Fujos love subtext, and they're going to be producing their own more explicit content and keep reading eagerly to see if Sangwoo ever fucks Bum in the ass.

Like, I don't know why KS fans can't just admit what they're reading is SUPER trashy. It's not a "complex psychological thriller." The art is awesome but the writing is very mediocre, and it's not any better than dudes who watch titty anime. I mean, it's fine if you like it, but let's not pretend it's something it isn't. lol

(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
I'm hardly in denial when I have zero problem with reading trashy yaoi. I love trashy yaoi. but like, you're objectively wrong. There's hardly any porn in KS. Trashy yaoi, by definition, needs to have lots of porn. KS hasn't even had an actual sex scene yet. The majority of the series so far hasn't even centered around sexual tension.

I mean lol like to each their own, if it's not your thing it's not your thing, and if you don't think it's good, you don't think it's good. ("skimming KS" doesn't exactly put you in a position of authority on the complexities or lack thereof in regards to being a psychological thriller, btw) But like there are literal equivalents of "titty horror anime" in yaoi, I know, because I read them. but you can't claim with any sort of objectivity that KS is just a trash yaoi when it hardly has porn, and spends most of its time, text, and panels on Yoonbum's psyche and terror.

like, no one is arguing there aren't fujoshi interested in the potential fucking. that doesn't somehow negate its genre as a psychological thriller, no matter how terrible or unsuccessful you think it is.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
"skimming KS" doesn't exactly put you in a position of authority on the complexities or lack thereof in regards to being a psychological thriller, btw

I only had to skim because it's literally the least complex thing ever lol. The character are hollow archetypes. The plot is pretty fucking straightforward.

The only reason you're arguing with me is because there's trashier BL out there with more sex. In the last chapter, Sangwoo is fucking Bum's mouth. It's obvious that a big appeal of this to fujos is the ~build up~.

At the end of the day, Lezhin is marketing KS as BL, and that's also what the author considers it. It's pretty obvious she doesn't take the whole thing that seriously. And the whole argument that it's a "psychological thriller" is kind of pointless. You can call BL about two salarymen fucking each other "slice of life." You can call BL where one of them magically turns into a minotaur and fucks the other "fantasy."

However, the main reason people are consuming these series is the m/m component. Same thing applies to KS.

da

so, make your own yuri content then.

(Anonymous) 2017-01-31 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Just butting in here but...you're not correct about the definition of "Trashy Yaoi". That's not even a thing. There's no such thing as Yaoi Manga. There's BL manga, and that's probably what you mean, but BL manga can be rated G to rated X, and it's all BL. Shonen Ai and Yaoi are terms adopted by western fujos who didn't know what they were doing. It's not actually A Thing in Japan, since yaoi exclusively refers to non-canon content (so, yaoi doujinshi, but not yaoi manga).

Pedantic, but since you're trying to use the 'objectively wrong' stance, I thought you'd want to be 'objectively right' first.
