My sister and I both agree that IX was the pinnacle of Final Fantasy. Everything about it was gorgeous, well thought out and fun. The magic system didn't suck, the characters were engaging and the story was touching.

167. HELL YES +1. And, dude, Zidane's scene on Terra made me cry too. I think one of the reasons I love the game so much is because Zidane is the protagonist. His scene on Terra is the one time we ever see him truly at his worst, and because his character develops so well and is so likeable, you truly do feel for him.

My theory about that is that fans saw too much of themselves in EVA Shinji, while FSN Shinji is more like all the worse parts of Shiki from Tsukihime and a good helping of bastardness without the Freudian excuse.

Doing doll photoshoots is not dissimilar from doing human photoshoots. It can be trickier, I'd wager, since you're trying to make something inanimate look alive. Some people just take photos of their dolls to show the clothes/hair/faceup. Some are trying to tell stories or capture ideas or emotions. One is a snapshot, the other is a photograph.

You lose respect? Cri moar, I say. If you don't have respect for people and are still pretending to be their friends, that's your issue, not theirs. People collect things. Some people collect expensive things. Waugh, waugh.

It's not a cap on it. I'm pro-dressup, cartoons... everything for any age... but the entire narutard fad. I feel that going to that groupie stage is something that can be forgivable to small children. I'll see a tiny child that wears the headbands around school and say 'fine. thats adorable' but I just feel when I see large groups of people in college that start to mimic that... its like... enjoy it... like it... I feel someone should be able to take it down a notch and not make the entire fandom every word out of their mouths. I'm not going to hate him for it, its just hard to tolerate or take seriously. The people I know with the either scrimped and saved for months or used the money they get back after taxes or from student loans to buy theirs. I collect the much smaller dolls [$17 a body, $10 a head] which are much nicer on my wallet.

119.) Not ALL BJDs are super expensive. Not all of them are thousands of dollars. Some are as low as $80.00. No, really. I have one that cost me $70.00 total. I like them. I have a few, they allow for lots of creativity, and some of the face-ups are 100% original and one of a kind. I don't get how people find dolls creepy, then again, I love things that are surreal. (I also like Blythe Dolls. XD) BJDs can be very surreal and very otherworldly--which I'm really fond of.

I do find the people who treat them like people to be weird and flaky; the people who have crushes on dolls are no different than people who have crushes on anime characters. I think those things are in the same boat, really.

Doll Photography can be art, as any photograph can be art.

167: I agree almost completely about FFIX; it's one of the most wonderful games I've ever played. I think FFVII was wonderful too, though, and I rather liked Quina while Garnet annoyed me almost as much as Rinoa did.

I wasn't disappointed. I was upset that Darth Vader and Sidious killed my favorite Jedi. I was upset that Anakin betrayed the very people who got him out of slavery. I was upset that that he betrayed Padme and killed her. But I was not disappointed at all. Just mearly upset by all the sad things that happened. Infact out of the prequels Episode 3 was one of the best, coming behind Ep2. I just dont see anything disappointing about it since we all knew what was going to happen.

Final Fantasy 9 was definitely the best one IMHO. It and Okami are my most favorite games in the world. Nothing will ever top 'em.

I just loved that everyone got OVER their griefs in FF9. They all went through a period of being emo. Every single character did (except maybe Quina) but then they GOT OVER IT. Shocking, I know. They got over and moved one and alkdgalkh Yeah. The game is just great.
