I've heard there are supposedly valid reports that people are beginning to see Tasmanian tigers again. They think a small bunch managed to escape the good ole hunting days and managed to keep the species alive. Problem is I haven't seen any solid proof and also scientists are supposedly going to try and clone them? I dunno who's messing around more here, man or tasmanian tiger. xD

I just wanna know wtf silphium *was,* and it’s growing requirements, and if it worked as both aphrodiasiac and birth control. What if it would still only grow in one tiny area?

The Carolina parakeet can come back. Mycobacterium tuberculosis can fuck off and die.

Kill ticks. Bring back anything that isn't ticks. (I think any species that was hunted to extinction would be nice.)

Cockroaches are actually useful. They put nitrogen back into the soil which is needed by plants.

The giant hissing roaches are kind of cool. Kind of sad that they're getting axed while paralysis ticks are living it up.

Dodos are the best. I wish they still existed. Not sure HIV counts, though, since Viruses aren't really alive.

Kill the mosquitoes, bring back any species that's been hunted to extinction. I'd also be willing to sacrifice ticks, roaches and kudzu to prevent the extinction of rhinos, honeybees and elephants. I'm also willing to trade water moccasins (the biggest assholes in the snake kingdom) for that variety of banana that was wiped out a few decades back. Actually, I'd be happy to lose water moccasins for free. Those scaly little douche-piñatas will happily go way out of their way to attack anything that moves and most things that don't move, too. I'm cool with pretty much every other species of snake, even the deadliest ones, 'cause they generally aren't a bunch of aggro asswipes like water moccasins. Those little shitstains can all go fuck themselves in HELL with something HARD and SAND-PAPERY.

ETA: Also, I'd trade fleas for dodo birds in a second.

I love all the other answers, I really do! It's a hard choice but I'd kill ticks and bring back the passenger pigeon. (Although really, there are so many good creatures to bring back, and I wouldn't mind saying sayonara to mosquitoes, too...)

I'd like to remove Caulerpa taxifolia from the Mediterranean, but I can't say it should be completely extinct.

I'd bring back the passenger pigeon, I guess. Not sure what their giant flocks' nesting requirements actually were.

Kill cane toads. Bring back the thylacine (Tasmanian tiger). If it does still exist, second option goes to Caspian tigers.
