Any of the Ernest movies. Especially the camp and Halloween ones.

Yessssss... I was wracking my brain trying to think of 'bad' movies I watched as a kid. Maybe Fern Gully too.

Ferngully isn't toooo bad. Just a bit boring.

My dad has mostly good taste. A lot of classic scifi stuff. But he did make me watch PeeWee's Big Holiday at one point. I hated that so much.

Occasionally we'd all sit down and watch one of the romantic comedies my mother was fond of. Bleh.

Just doesn't work for me. I'm very, very particular about comedy. I don't find most of it funny.

Oh god, my dad made me watch the PeeWee movies repeatedly as a kid, even though I'm pretty sure he knew they creeped me right out. He still maintains that they're awesome now.

DA

I don't think that was the question. There wasn't anything you loved that you had to watch like a million times that your parents just put up with? Some bad straight-to-VHS Disney sequel or something? My brother and sister had these annoying Disney Sing-A-Long tapes that were fine (not good, but okay) the first few times and then so grating every time after that.

Not really? The things I watched over and over were mostly the Star Wars OT or episodes of Star Trek. I liked some disney movies, but I don't recall the sequels even existing when I was a kid.

We didn't even own a VHS until I was in high school, so it really doesn't apply. Instead, I ended up watching Sound of Music, which was on every single fucking holiday season.

Ahahah The Secret of NIMH's crappy Direct to Video sequel from the ages of ..wow about 9 to like....my mid teens. I used to be deeply obsessed with it and the rest of the series to the point my mom took my "NIMH stash" away and I focused on fandom.

She said years later she was just sick of it but... I kinda feel like it would have faded if she hadn't. taking it away just made me more into it for a bit.

Ahahaha special interests.

Not me, but my sister. My mother had taped Peter No Tail off of TV for her and she was obsessed and watched it all the time. It got accidentally taped over after a handful of years, so about a dozen years ago for Christmas I found a copy for her on ebay. It was horrible. I can't believe my mother put up with it as much as she did!

There were no movies in Soviet Russia. :[

I mean, there were but honestly I don't remember watching them much. I think my grandparents had Vinni Pukh and some other cartoons. So my parents got to skip watching the same movies over and over again hahaha. (I once stayed with a friend's family for a few days. Finding Nemo non-stop on the TV the entire time. my god.)

I watched Ну, погоди! all the time as kid. It predated Tom and Jerry for me.

Less movies but damn did we annoy our parents with children's audiobooks on longer drives. Must have been torture.

Uh...none? Watching movies that weren't on TV/in the theater wasn't a thing until I was in my late teens, and there was no 'forcing' my dad or mom to watch anything - they'd just leave the room and do whatever they wanted.
