I like Anna Paquin and Rogue was always my most favorite X-Men from childhood. That said, I hated Anna as Rogue. Honestly, it wasn't Anna's fault, I felt it was the way Rogue was chosen to be portrayed in those X-Men films. I was disappointed by everything they did with her character that I came to hate the films as well. =/ Which seems petty maybe? Hating a whole trilogy just because my favorite character was not given proper respect/dues? Sorry not sorry.

(Also, insert mini-rant here about Jubilee being shown but never mentioned and Shadowcat having such small scenes.)

What does it matter if it was planned from the start? Canon changes constantly, especially in a canon like Overwatch that is still being shaped. I am pretty sure Tracer was never planned to be a lesbian but they saw that people were championing for the idea and made it so.

And I would not be surprised at all if the OW team decided to make Reaper76 (or any of the popular ships) canon if they can make it believable. They are very supportive and involved in the fan community.

I think there's a healthy balance here, where you acknowledge that it's your hobby without being a huge annoying dickwad about it.

At the same time, I definitely keep quiet about the fanfic and stuff personally. even in a place like Twitter, where at least 60% of my mutuals are into fandom in one way or another, it's not something I really talk about it. So I definitely get what you mean about keeping it quiet even when it doesn't really make sense to do so. I'm just weird about stuff I guess.
