I'm not judgmental, but find they can be distracting. And sometimes laugh track audiences react to things in a way that's over the top.

For instance, in FRIENDS, Monica and Chandler decided to move in together at one point. The audience practically lost its shit with the "woohoos", and it felt a little contrived. Sure, it was cute, but we're all adults. Sometimes when a man loves a woman, he moves in with her. It happens.

I didn't watch the Globes and have only seen still photos of that moment, but the way Franco appears to be pushing him to the site seems really rude.

For the most part I agree. I just wish they'd kept Ryo's realization in the end intact.

I've always done a version of this. After all the public persona can be as much an act as a character in a show. So when they say/do dumb ass things I put it down to poor script writing.

Same! I was not a fan of Dot and Axel, but I liked Mack and Funshine, and I really hope Kali returns in S3.

I think part of the crit was that some people felt it interrupted the narrative flow, but that was the point. Jane is off doing this strange stuff while all hell is breaking loose in the lab. (And they did tie it in well with the little Void bits.)

(P.S. I don't agree with those who want to swap the sequence of 7 and 8. If anything, maybe swap 6 and 7.)
