117. I adore Doctor Who but I stay the fuck out of that fandom because the fangirls scare me. Nine is definitely my favorite Doctor. I mean, I love Tennant, but 10 can be a total jerk. Eccleston, for all that he's not as much "fun" on set or off, is so much more interesting to watch and makes for a more fully-rendered Doctor.

104 - I played the first game, back in January... and I fell into the fandom hard and fast. It's such an addicting game, and it really makes me want to know more about the characters. I heart Feenie personally, but Edge is smexy too. B-but yeah, maybe you can be a lurker in fandom like me 8D

I'm from the former USSR but I immigrated as a kid so I don't have a lot of friends who can share the Domogarovlove. I went to see the play Sirano de Bergerac only because he was the lead and I figured even in costume, I would still totally perv on his voice. EXCEPT HE CHANGED HIS VOICE FOR THE WHOLE PLAY. :(

I ALMOST CRIED AT THE END OF THE SERIES TOO! And dude, Chicot is still possibly my favourite character in all of fiction. And him and Henri? Haha, yeah ok I'd hit it.

... I have all the episodes with Kid (including some duplicates, since Kaizou decided to deny ignore that some things had already been done years ago), but I've been collecting them for years. I think Tokyotosho (http://www.tokyotosho.com/) still has some eps by defunct groups up, check the Kid Ref Page (http://www.mischif.net/1412/) for anime listings.

I went around looking for Lavi/Lenalee fandom once... and there's a barely breathing community, and that's about it. =/ On the bright side, I wasn't looking for fic at the time, but I found much more than I thought I would. 8D Good fic too!

Hmmm... I had a conversation with a RL friend (who ships Allen/Lenalee) about it, and we both eventually concluded that it has the same logic as rivalslash. Not that we get that either, but it seems pretty justified (and prolific) to the fans, so who am I to protest? XD Just because I can't understand it doesn't make it wrong~... just confusing. =/

Funimation did get to the first Kaitou Kid appearance in Detective Conan, but they did change the name to the slightly more english version, Kid the Phantom Thief (http://www.caseclosed.com/index2_cc.cfm?page=cases_cc&case_id=5&episode_id=78). They've yet to offer up an alternative to 'Kuroba Kaito', thank the fates.

The one I'm slightly worried about is when Viz gets to volume 30, if they change Hakuba Saguru's name. Think a few people have bets that Saguru's gonna become 'Steve'.

Beh. I'm an old-school DC fan, the name changes annoy me. ^^;;

Same here! I actually really only got into Conan because of Kaitou Kid--my friend's Chinese manga was literally the only exposure I needed to get addicted to it...

Ugh, I try to pretend that Viz's works don't exist for a while, as elitist as that sounds, their work in Konjiki no Gash bell makes me cry...hard. And I picked up A volume and kinda winced at the translations, so yeah, feel your pain for the most part, it's such a shame--Detective Conan is EPIC in Japan, why is it not so over here? *le sigh*

It would be entirely RETARDED then. Coming from a girl's point of view - a female L would ruin the series. Then there would be so many sexual tension tones between L and Light because the series wouldn't hold back because of any sort of homosexual tones in a workplace setting in the story. And let's face it - weird, quirky, messy, savant men are far more acceptable than women of that category. I like the Death Note series, but had L been a woman.. I never would have read it :/
