Smartphone question

Hey. So I just got my first smartphone. And since I've never actually used much data on my phone before, I'm wondering if there is a reference I could look to for what will use a lot of data and what won't. Obviously downloading apps does use a lot. But does using apps? I honestly don't know.

Yep, if you go to (at least on my android phone) settings -- mobile data -- (don't hit the toggle switch, just the words), a graph comes up on mine that lists data usage for the month and the apps that used the most, mine being my podcast player of all things

Depends on the app. I have an app called My Data Manager. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobidia.android.mdm&hl=en

You can put in your data cap and it will give you a daily budget for whatever period of time you have that amount of data for. It also sends you alerts for various things.

I avoid downloading and streaming when I'm on mobile data. I just check the news and social media most of the time, or use it for googling stuff, looking at maps, and instant messaging. I have auto play for videos turned off on Facebook so I can look at silly memes and stuff without it using all my data. I also revoked mobile data and location services for most of my apps, but I have an iPhone and don't know how you can do that on android or even if you can.

If you're not around Wi-Fi and want to be sure you're not using any data, you can set the phone to airplane mode. It'll turn off all location/GPS/messaging stuff too so nothing is using data in the background.

You can play most offline games on airplane mode, with the bonus of it not loading any ads (because it won't download the ads to show you! This is mainly why I use it even if I don't need to).

You can't get calls/texts while airplane mode is on though.

For me, it isn't physically. My physical tastes are fairly conventional. But my interest in villains, both male and female, often confuses me. I'm not into woobifying them. I like full on evil characters being full on evil, and yet I also often find them really attractive. I'm not even sure if it is a "bad boy" thing. I don't even know what it is. I just know that I'm more likely to find them hot if they are evil.

Weirdly, I can usually tell Aaron and Shawn Ashmore apart.

There are a fair amount of actors that have similar looks, but I don't generally have an issue telling them apart. I sometimes mix up names - I'll know who I'm talking about and projects they've been in, but get their name wrong because it's similar to another actor's.

I don't know which one is the worst? Sharia Law or Rex Tillerson's low priority on human right.
