For films that smear real people for the sake of an agenda yes.

To flesh it out a little, you could try to loop back to May and Coulson through a conflict and resolution. Yo-Yo and Coulson's interaction and Coulson's personal experience of both situations can still have an equal balance, but it might feel more finished and cohesive that way?

For example:

Coulson and May reunite, it's intense/happy/whatever but there are some things Coulson is avoiding talking or thinking about, and it causes him to distance himself.

He talks with Yo-Yo and through the course of their interaction he comes to a better understanding or acceptance within himself and maybe the other character relates something personal that Coulson can then apply to his own life and relationships.

May and Coulson reunite again with less urgency, but more emotional intimacy.

Can you specify who you're referring to as an "uppity bitch", and what you mean by that phrase?

What differentiates historical inaccuracy in the interests of telling the story from a smear to perpetuate an agenda? How do you ascertain someone's intent in that regard?

Re: What sports do you watch?

Snooker and sometimes skiing.

Agreed. A lot of different thoughts interjectng could be done by way of hyphens or parentheticals, italics or new short grafs.

I think it does. They do explain things pretty well. And, it seems to me, one of the keys to enjoying it is whether you think it is pretty or not. Because I thought the movie was gorgeous, and that really helped my enjoyment.

It depends on the fandom for me. Or, more specifically, my main fandom makes gorgeous mood boards. And art posts in general. I'm not a fan in other fandoms, but I love the ones my main fandom does.

It's kind of set up so that May is the catalyst for Coulson realizing he never *really* came to terms with losing a limb, which then sends him to Yo-Yo whose loss is still fresh. I was planning to have her be really insecure and angry about how helpless and dependent on other people she feels. By it's nature, that has to touch on the Mack/Yo-Yo relationship. I guess that would be a good time to loop May back into the conversation...

Ava admitted to rewriting the script because she thought LBJ came off too good. She was attacking him in interviews and saying he didn’t really care about civil rights.

FDR seems pretty decent. I really, really hate Truman.

I think I look my age, but people assume I'm younger because I'm short. I don't get seriously offended when say, they're giving out free samples at the grocery store and the sample person says I need to get my mom's permission to get a sample. I actually find that pretty amusing. I do get annoyed when my coworkers don't take me seriously because somehow shortnes equals cute and cute equals inexperience in their minds.

56‽

(Anonymous) 2018-03-22 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
Depends. I think with a lot of people it's more about apologizing for less good past fics than trying to brag about their recent fics. It's that whole thing where you make sure people know that you are aware not all of your old work is that great (regardless of how good it actually is) for fear people will think less of you for ever having written something silly.

I'm the oldest in my friend group and I get ID'ed for everything, including at the movie theater. I know it's a weird thing to be annoyed by, but it bugs me. Damn it, I'm four years older than one of them, why do I get ID'ed and he doesn't?

(Anonymous) 2018-03-22 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, there is like zero fanservice going on with her. She dresses goth and that's about it.

(Anonymous) 2018-03-22 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
Same. Okay, some of them were dumb teenager-level drama, but the writing and grammar was just fine. They weren't objectively bad, just very clearly written by a teenager.

am I not supposed to be here because of my age or something?
also, where do you get a keyboard with an interrobang?

(Anonymous) 2018-03-22 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
If you're talking God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, Triumvate aspect of Christianity? The bible isn't really clear (and my instructors have never discussed) if it's actually one soul or three or if our soul is a reflection of God's.

Lewis never mentions the Holy Spirit in his fictional allegory, but ends up giving Aslan the Holy Spirit's power of the "breath of life."

I'm 34 and people generally peg me as being around 18, so...

It doesn't bother me one bit. I know I've got good genes and I'm perfectly happy with it. Honestly, I'm more surprised when people DON'T card me for things because I'm well aware that I look young for my age.

Same. To be clear, I have no problem with people writing it and I just skip over a fic if it's tagged as such, but I just don't get it.
