136. Oh god. There goes my childhood. XD I loved that book so much, and now I can never read it to my kids without feeling ike a perv XD

146. HOLY SHIT I CAN DIE HAPPY NOW AND FOREVER. That. Made my day. Seriously.

152. Where the hell do you live and how can I get there 8O

(Anonymous) 2008-07-19 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Sadly, where I live is not a place you'd want to visit, men dressed prettily notwithstanding

Hmm, I don't watch either show regularly, nor do I ship any of the Beatles (my first and favorite band of all time; it's somehow sacrilige) but the idea of George and Ringo spooning is adorable.

This secret tempted me to find the interview in question, so I did. I don't hear any mentions of this spooning moment, though. Maybe it's not the full interview?

it's amazing to me how many find it adorable. (it is though, innit?)

yeah, they actually edited it out, apparently. my friend who told me has it on VHS tape because she knew Ringo was going to be on so she taped it. total bummer but she's working on putting it on youtube. :]

ME TOO.

145 - I'd watch it with you. That movie made me interested in Chinese opera.

154 - Just post it under a different penname.

179 - Yet you still pay money for their products. Do you think they care what you do with them once you paid for them?

The fandom is extremely smalltime and it's RPS. It would be very damn obvious to the slashpair and most of the fans that I wrote it. :-/ They'd never trust me again.

104. Just got back from seeing this (that's why I'm so late. I'm usually on page two or three). OMG, EPIC.

158. OMG, ARE YOU ME???? I LOVE THE DUB SOOOOO MUCH.

161. But this IS fabulous comic! The art is GORGEOUS.

170. Oh, wow... *sniff*

175. God, that picture's hot.

180. Woo hoo!

[identity profile] salkun.livejournal.com 2008-07-19 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
106. I do, too! Maybe we should start a support group...
168. I just spent, like, five minutes trying to figure out all of the relationships contained therein. Having never played the game, it confused me greatly. Either way, congratulations on your award/succesfully inserting subliminal fandom messages in your art!

Same, OP. Gavincest and...fluff? Kristoph not being a jerk with something seriously wrong in his head, who is good at manipulating people and playing human?

Fandom hurts my brain sometimes.

118. ...I like it. That's the sort of pairing...I tend to really dig. XD;;;

152. Chrono Crusade combined with a one-two punch with the FMA movie to do this to me. XD And the Princess Tutu renewed my love for fantasy fairytale ballet whatever clothing. It's weird how anime is getting me back into western historical things...
Also, WHERE DO YOU LIVE? None of the guys here dress that way! ;-;

164. That doesn't seem that weird to me...^^; Although, this is the girl who grew up with all of her cars having names of animals from talking animal movies, and who named her iPod "Satoshi" after the DNAngel character...

176. Mostly unrelated, but...gosh, I love Greg. XD;

113: There is a good reason I jumped that ship ages ago. As much as I like the old staff (I don't know if it's the same people) and the fandom in general, I and many others recognized it as a Den of Evil.

133: The fandom went extinct, huh? That's kind of sad. I met quite a few awesome people when I used to be really active in it.

136: OW, MY CHILDHOOD.

141: As much as I love Dexter and seeing the series getting attention, secrets like this always bother me. The series does make a lot of good points about how people work and Dexter as a character does have some parallels to the way that 'normal' people think and behave. I think that often people mistake this for being just like him.

I also say that saying you'd be able to murder people without feeling anything and without hesitation is terribly presumptuous unless you've actually done it.

178: When he talks to Penny? Like 89% of romance plots are like that. There's a thing called character development that, like, happens.

[identity profile] vitawash24.livejournal.com 2008-07-20 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
150: I dunno. If you're gonna love a newbie, might as well be Kutner. He definitely seems to be the most popular. I love the old team (er, well, I love Chase, at least), but I was SO excited to find out he was joining the show. Because he is completely awesome.

169

[identity profile] siriuslynow.livejournal.com 2008-07-20 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
It's nice that you have a close relationship to your sister and all (no really it is!) But um, I don't think Itachi/Sasuke's relationship is exactly the best to compare yourself to, especially if you're leaning towards something healthy and happy.

(unless you have some sort of obsessive desire to murder your sister because she told you to and to avenge the family she took away from you. in which i take it all back).

Re: 169

(Anonymous) 2008-07-20 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
No, no. Haha, we're not like that at all. I've just seen several secrets from people claiming they do want a relationship like that (personally, I think that's silly).

The point I was trying to make is that we're just wicked tight. Like fingers coated in superglue tight. Or traffic at rush hour tight. Or some similar metaphor...yeah.

104. Word. I hope she'll show up as a girl who was in love with him for the next movie. I don't know how, just make it work!

106. Good luck, my friend. I have those feelings too. I bash it based on the bits I've seen, but I suppose I'd be able to bash it more cleanly if I read it though. I just don't want to put that junk into my head.

120. Lolz.

124. I wouldn't think so. My sibs never liked it. I think maybe part of it is almost being able to compare it to "Family Matters" as well.

136. ...What?

142. ILU

150. I love him. He's so sweet and idealistic, but flawed. Love him.

158. Everyone but Moo. Ugh, how can anyone tolerate Moo?

159. Any of the stand-up comedians...Anywhere? In the history of stand-up comedy?
Okay, that's just sad and lame.

161. As someone who basically majored in comic books, who has a deep, abiding love for Gaiman and thinks Moore is a genius (Miller I want to punch in the balls. With a sledgehammer)...why in the world should you be ashamed. Most prominent people in the industry acknowledge that webcomics are, in fact, legitimate. They get Eisner Awards. And LC is a work of genius, with gorgeous art and beautiful world-building and fantastic characters.

165. "Man, I'm glad this hasn't happened!...Which is why I shall now bring it to the attention of fangirls everywhere!"

178. As someone who gets embarrasment-squicked by almost anything (even the Flintstones)...I don't see it. If you only lasted through the blog part, you're missing out. I didn't think it was good until the singing started. After that, there's a lot less embarrasment, and a lot more adorable sexiness with fun, catchy songs, and a dark twist in the second and third act.

GEEZ. Another one who misunderstood. :/

All that I have personally seen were just pathetic and I've seen quite many of them. No, I haven't seen all and maybe there's one who could actually make me laugh, but I haven't run into that yet. And I do not care enough to find out. :)

104. I would LOVE to see Harley in the next Batman flick. That would be so awesome.

153. You're not the only one. My disappointment with the ending led me to boycott films that starred Madhuri Dixit for a long time.

180. Yay for muscles on women! (Was about to type that I love George Perez-drawn Wonder Woman until I realized that it was Jimenez. Whoops.)

(Anonymous) 2008-07-20 12:55 am (UTC)(link)

159. Please don't completely shut yourself off to a whole genre of comedy. Everyone has a particular type of comedy which they find funny, you've probably just not found the right type for you yet. Have you tried Eddie Izzard, for example? He doesn't really tell jokes at all, his material is more like connected stories than anything.

Is it too much to ask you which comedians you particularly disliked, and why? Or even try to explain to me what you mean by 'things that shouldn't be joked about'? Stand-up's something I'm really passionate about, I'd hate for you to completely disregard the whole genre because of seeing a few bad comics or material that simply isn't your particular taste.

Holy crap Soul Blazer! Illusion of Gaia was more my thing because I found it first, but SB was also a lot of fun. At least, I remember it that way. Maybe not so much now.
