I don't think that's so odd.

The book is every bit as terrible as you've no doubt heard it is. But no matter how much the movie might suck, it will still be an improvement on the book because 1) it won't have stupid Bella Swan as a narrator, and 2) instead of endless droning on about how OMG beautiful Edward is, it will have to focus on the actual plot and action. And since the plot is so thin, and there is so little action, the filmmakers won't have to cut anything important from the book.

I don't think the movie's going to be great, but it might actually be watchable.

131: I thought it was horrible. I just watched it last night, and it actually made me cry in frustration and anger (and sadness, of course). The person she'd become did die. Few things anger me in fiction like mind wipe; it completely destroys everything the person has become. It renders the whole story meaningless, except for to the Doctor, and now he's alone again. And he finally found someone who was really starting to understand him, too! Her begging before the wipe broke my heart. She knew what was happening, and I can't even imagine the loss.

133 I watched the series so recently that I'm not even in the fandom yet, so I don't know what people are saying, but I honestly felt that she couldn't be to the Doctor what he was to her. I do wish she could be happy - I disliked the romance plot, not her character - but I think that means finding a meaning in life that excludes the Doctor.

Seconded. That community virtually lets you do anything except wank-inducing stuff (I mean, people can admit that the series isn't a masterpiece as well and its fault, that's a big thing IMO). Plus she always consult with the fans about any major decisions.

The only thing I think the only thing I can think was the anon meme and lawd knows that no fandom deserves an anon meme because it's the cancer killing the fandom. Or the constant blogcrew posting. But I can be completely wrong.

161. Keeping in mind that I don't know the video nor the series... I do not see the big deal about a video that, in general, cuts out certain characters and focuses on others? I mean, Love Hina has a mostly-girl cast, but if someone made a video about Keitaro and Seta's travels, adventures, etc, I wouldn't be surprised or upset if they didn't include the female characters, despite how important they are. If someone's making a romance video for... wtf I don't know the characters but um two male characters from Sailor Moon... they have no real reason to include the female characters despite them being the stars. And no, she is not the worst or even the strictest mod in the world. If I were running that comm, all the blogcrew announcements and 'HOMG I LIVE IN 1859 ST.' would vanish as soon as they were posted. The fandom is growing now and some people are peti/opportunistic/so self-centered they can't see how their "fun" could ruin everybody else's.

Mmm, deadly and full of horror sounds delicious. I'd read them, despite the fact that proper vampires and werewolves scare me hardcore.
Really, I started feeling something was useless when Edward and his sparkly pals didn't make me want to hang garlic outside the door and hide under my bedcovers.
(Lol, I went off and get myself a copy of Dracula to try and Make The World Right Again after reading the entirety of the Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse books. Since, seriously, "vampire romance" always either makes me want to burst out laughing or throw actual horror books at people while in an overly irritated mood.)
